American Idol Creator Debuts Web Series

American Idol’s Simon Fuller has just debuted a new reality series for Internet viewers. If I Can Dream, premiering today on Hulu.com, follows the lives of five would-be celebrities as they attempt to launch their careers in Hollywood.

Three actors, a model and a musician will live in a beautiful Hollywood Hills home as they pursue stardom (hardly the reality many aspiring celebs experience). In-between weekly episodes of the series, viewers can watch the live stream on ificandream.com.

According to press releases, the cameras for this live stream will be on 24/7, Truman Show-style. You can also follow the five wannabes on Twitter, MySpace and Facebook (naturally).

TV Talk: Top 10 TV Shows, Menzel on Glee, MST3K on Hulu

-Entertainment Weekly has just named their 10 Best TV Shows of the Decade. Am I the only one who didn’t care for The Comeback?

-It looks like Rachel Berry’s lookalike may be visiting Glee after all! Wicked‘s Idina Menzel is in talks to play the coach of a rival glee club.

-Real Housewives’ Kim Zolciak took the party to Ellen DeGeneres when she performed “Tardy for the Party” in front of an actual audience. You can (try) watching her again here.

-Episodes of Mystery Science Theater 3000 were recently put up on Hulu. Now you can make running commentary in front of your own computers.

-VH1 has ordered a reality series based on the spouses of athletes. Basketball Wives will debut on March 15.

ABC/Disney Shows Coming to Hulu

Catching up on missed ABC programs will soon become that much easier.

Thanks to a deal that is still being finalized, programs ranging from Lost to General Hospital will eventually be made available on Hulu. ABC, owned by Disney, will now become the third major network (alongside NBC and FOX) to allow ad-supported webstreaming of their shows via the site.

Video: SNL Girlfriend Voice skit

I was just able to catch this past week’s episode of SNL (Season 34, episode 20), and for some reason, this skit had me rolling. If you saw it, it’s the one where three guys are trying to plan a bachelor party, but keep getting interrupted by phone calls. It starts with their girlfriends calling, and each of them talking on the phone using their “girlfriend voice”—that’s right guys, you are not alone on that one. If you haven’t seen it, check it out above. Good times.

30 Rock Season 3 Premiere: Do-Over - Watch now

We’re big fans of this whole Internet thing, and we think it’s gonna continue to change the face of television in the next 12 months. Case in point, the ginormous Hulu, which many critics said would fail before it was even in beta. Of course, now, Hulu has proved itself an enormous success, celebrating its one-year anniversary just yesterday.

So, why the Hulu love today? Well, it just so happens that last week, they posted the Season Premiere of 30 Rock. However, that show, subtitled “Do-Over,” isn’t premiering on television until this evening. So, if you used Hulu, you would have had the opportunity to see the entire show, with limited interruption, a week early. Of course, if you prefer your TV in high definition, then you would have have to tune in tonight for that luxury. We’ve embedded 30 Rock: Do Over above - enjoy!
