Monday Ratings: Castle is on a High
Posted by Veronica Santiago Categories: Comedy, Drama, Prime Time, Reality, Sci-Fi/Horror, Talk Shows, ABC, CBS, FOX, NBC, The CW, 24, Heroes, House, Ratings,
Do fans need to help “save” Castle anymore? Last night, the ABC program - which faced a CBS repeat - earned series-high numbers. Could this be a one-time thing? Or will the trend continue? The mystery deepens…

- House (14.2 million, 5.2/13 in 18-49) had the best numbers of the night.
- The Bachelor (11.4 million, 3.9/10) added on 800,000.
- Chuck (6.9 million, 2.5/6) was up by 200,000.
- How I Met Your Mother* (2.1/6) pulled in 6.1 million.

MONDAY (1/25)
- Cake Boss (TLC, 9pm): “Buddy deals with an indecisive client when creating a cake for the grand opening of a movie theater.” They ultimately agreed to serve melted butter on the side.
- Castle (ABC, 10pm): “A vacationing family return home to find a supposed squatter dead in their daughter’s bed.” The cause of Goldilocks’ death? Poisoned porridge.
- Damages (FX, 10pm): Season premiere. “A court has appointed Patty to recover assets lost in a Ponzi scheme orchestrated by Louis Tobin (Len Cariou) while Ellen is working for the DA’s office, which will prosecute him.” Ahh - there’s nothing like the smell of a fresh backstab in the morning.

Monday Ratings: Another Painful Outing for Heroes
Posted by Veronica Santiago Categories: Action, Comedy, Drama, Prime Time, Reality, Sci-Fi/Horror, Talk Shows, ABC, CBS, FOX, NBC, The CW, 24, Heroes, Ratings,
If NBC doesn’t cancel Heroes after the end of this season, it would be the worst decision that network has made since….well, you know. Although some have claimed the show will return next year, the phrase “hit a series low” is constantly used when referencing the program. (Last night was no exception.) Yesterday’s episode even drew less viewers than The Jay Leno Show.
8pm
- A two-hour episode of 24 (3.4/8 in 18-49) averaged 11 million.
- The Bachelor (10.6 million, 3.8/9) did about the same as last week.
- How I Met Your Mother (10.5 million, 4.0/10) picked up 700,000.
- Accidentally on Purpose (9.6 million, 3.5/9) grew by 1.1 million.
- Chuck (6.7 million, 2.5/6) was down by 600,000.
- One Tree Hill (1.1/3) raised 2.2 million.
