‘One Life to Live’ Star Arrested for Assault

Posted by Veronica Santiago Categories: Daytime, ABC, Gossip, News, Rumors,

Nathaniel MarstonActor , who plays Dr. Michael McBain on ABC’s , was arrested Sunday morning in New York.  Unlike other celebrity scandals which usually involve misdemeanors, Marston is facing at least one felony charge.

The actor, who was reportedly enraged after exiting a cab, used a crate to assault three men; one of his victims suffered a broken leg.  It’s unclear what ignited his attack, though officers believe he was under the influence of a narcotic at the time.  Nathaniel, 32, was arrested for felony assault, reckless endangerment, criminal possession of a weapon and resisting arrest.  He was later transported to a local hospital where he was listed as ‘emotionally disturbed’.  This would not be Marston’s first brush with the law.  Back in 1999, while he was working on CBS’s , he was arrested for taking his rage out on an ATM machine.  (Dude, no money means no money.)

It is unknown what the producers of One Life to Live will do about the situation at this point; Nathaniel is currently involved in a major storyline on the show.  Meanwhile, a rep for told TVGuide.com that they ‘are aware of the incident and are reviewing the details.’  If fired from OLTL, this would be Marston’s second time around.  He was killed off back in 2003 (reportedly due to questionable work habits) but later brought back as a different character due to strong fan reaction.

Posted by Veronica Santiago Categories: Drama, Prime Time, FOX, 24, News,

Kiefer Sutherland In time, Jack Bauer had this legal matter resolved in a mere 10 minutes.

Wanting to quickly put his Sept. 25th incident behind him, actor pleaded no contest today to a misdemeanor drunk driving charge.  Assuming the judge accepts the arrangements of the plea deal, Sutherland will serve a recommended total of 48 days in jail.  At the formal sentencing on Dec. 21th, prosecutors will ask that Kiefer serve 30 days for the DUI charge and an additional 18 for violating probation.  This was Sutherland’s fourth DUI-related offense; he was still on probation for a 2004 incident.

If all goes according to plan, Kiefer will be able to serve part of his stint in late December (while 24 is still in hiatus) and the remainder after the show’s finale.

Lindsay Lohan Arrested For Drugs And Alcohol AGAIN

Posted by Veronica Santiago Categories: Gossip, News,

Lindsay Lohan

Wow.  WOW.  Who would have thought that Paris’ troubles could seem like a thing of the past??

has graciously stepped up to the plate and ripped the troubled celebrity crown off the socialite’s head.  After having recently finished her stint in rehab…after having voluntarily turned herself into police for her old Memorial Day weekend crash….after having sported an alcohol-monitoring bracelet for the past few days….Lindsay somehow managed to get in trouble again!!!  Someone give that girl a statuette—because she definitely deserves an award.

Ms. Lohan was arrested THIS MORNING after driving in the Santa Monica area.  TMZ reports that she blew

a field sobriety

an in-station alcohol test (her results were approximately .12) and was also driving with a suspended license.  Cocaine - surprise! - was later found in her pocket.

More details will obviously be coming throughout the day.  Meanwhile, I will work on creating the Razzie award equivalent for simple celebrity idiocy.  Feel free to suggest any award name suggestions my way.

A Screaming Paris Is Sent Back to Jail

Paris Hilton Jail

For the record:  I really do hate doing stories on ...but having initially reported on her early release, I feel obligated to report on the ever-changing updates.  That, and I thoroughly enjoyed seeing the pictures of her crying today.

With only a comfortable 24 hours at home, Paris Hilton was sent screaming from court this morning as she was ordered back into jail.  Angered that Hilton had been transferred out of the facility, Judge Michael Sauer demanded that she reappear in court today.  Unlike her original trip to jail, Paris’ ride to the courthouse consisted of a comfy backseat in a police vehicle.

It is still not known what medical problems prompted her early release, but Sauer ordered that Paris serve out the rest of her 45-day sentence in lock-up.  More news likely to come…

Tom Sizemore Screws Up Again

Tom SizemoreTom Sizemore just can’t catch a break… only, here’s the thing. He used to be a respectable actor who got parts in Natural Born Killers, Black Hawk Down and Saving Private Ryan, so he was once at the top of his game. He’s had a history with drug addiction, and it seems that he just can’t get cleaned up. He chronicled his rock bottom existence on the VH1 celebreality show, Shooting Sizemore—something I couldn’t stand watching because of what a sad person he’s become. Things just got a little sadder when Sizemore was arrested yesterday with methamphetamine and other drug paraphernalia in his car. This came after Sizemore and his friend threatened to beat up a hotel staff person at the Four Points Sheraton in Bakersfield, California. Will Sizemore ever dig himself out of this downward spiral? And will this latest arrest lock him out of Hollywood altogether?

Ty Pennington’s DUI Arrest

Posted by Wendy Michaels Categories: Prime Time, Reality, ABC, Gossip,

Extreme Makeover, Ty Pennington Tsk, tsk, Ty Pennington. The megaphone barking host of ABC’s Extreme Makeover: Home Edition was arrested for DUI over the weekend. He was arrested at 12:15 a.m. on Saturday and released a couple of hours later after posting $5,000 bail. Pennington will head to court on June 4th. He made the following statement: “I made an error in judgment. We all make mistakes, however this is about accountability. Under no circumstances should anyone consume alcohol while driving. I could have jeopardized the lives of others and I am grateful there was no accident or harm done to anyone. This was my wake-up call. I also want to apologize to my fans, ABC Television and my design team for my lapse in judgment and the embarrassment I have caused.” You know, Ty used to appeal to me when he was the carpenter on Trading Spaces—a fun-loving guy who had a good sense of humor. But when he took on Makeover, I couldn’t stand him any more. Maybe it’s the megaphone or his need to bogart the camera as much as possible. Curious what this arrest will do for ratings and fans of the show.
