Rejected American Idol contestant Ian Benardo doesn’t have a prayer of getting $300 million from the show, though he recently filed a lawsuit asking for this staggering sum. We’re pretty sure Benardo has filed suit more for publicity than for money…so we’re going to give it to him.

American Idol: Rickey Minor Snubbed
Posted by K.C. Morgan Categories: Music, Prime Time, Reality, FOX, American Idol, Gossip, Video,
American Idol was so busy crowning Lee DeWyze and bidding farewell to Simon Cowell at the end of its ninth season, the show never got around to telling the audience that another very important cast member has left the series: band leader Ricky Rickey Minor. You might recognize the name - Ryan Seacrest frequently shouts “Ricky
Ricky Minor and the band!” during Idol performance nights.
Minor has been a part of the Idol family for six years, receiving many compliments from contestants and judges alike during his time with the show. Minor worked closely with the contestants, helping them with the arrangements and other musical concerns related to their performances.

American Idol 9: Was Adam Lambert Axed From the Finale?
Posted by K.C. Morgan Categories: Music, Prime Time, Reality, FOX, American Idol, Gossip, Rumors,
If you watched the American Idol 9 finale, you know the show closed its season with lots of glitter, glamour and more than one tear-jerking moment as the series bid good-bye to Simon Cowell, its most beloved star. The finale was stuffed with live performances, but Popeater is reporting that there’s at least one we missed: Adam Lambert got cut from the show earlier this week.
According to unnamed sources, Adam Lambert failed to show up for scheduled rehearsals before the big finale. Producers didn’t know where he was, and decided to cut him from the episode altogether. One source claims the powers-that-be were too nervous to put an unrehearsed Lambert on the live Idol stage to perform, as the unpredictable singer is far too well-known for pushing the envelope of what’s acceptable during his performances.
Recap every glorious moment of the ninth season - from early auditions to the grand finale - right here. Check out all our American Idol 9 posts.
