American Idol Contestant Sues Show for $300 Million


Rejected contestant Ian Benardo doesn’t have a prayer of getting $300 million from the show, though he recently filed a lawsuit asking for this staggering sum. We’re pretty sure Benardo has filed suit more for publicity than for money…so we’re going to give it to him.

If you don’t know who Ian Benardo is, it’s probably because you didn’t watch the spectacular which aired in May. Benardo turned an otherwise average stage show into a circus when he ripped the microphone out of the hands of comedian Dane Cook and proceeded to scream out his agenda to the masses.

American Idol 9: Was Adam Lambert Axed From the Finale?

Adam LambertIf you watched the American Idol 9 finale, you know the show closed its season with lots of glitter, glamour and more than one tear-jerking moment as the series bid good-bye to Simon Cowell, its most beloved star. The finale was stuffed with live performances, but Popeater is reporting that there’s at least one we missed: got cut from the show earlier this week.

According to unnamed sources, Adam Lambert failed to show up for scheduled rehearsals before the big finale. Producers didn’t know where he was, and decided to cut him from the episode altogether. One source claims the powers-that-be were too nervous to put an unrehearsed Lambert on the live Idol stage to perform, as the unpredictable singer is far too well-known for of what’s acceptable during his performances.
