On Gear Live: Apple’s M5 Chip Made the MacBook Pro Unstoppable!

‘Amazing Race 13’ A Go

amazing race ronald/christinaIt should come as no surprise that is renewing for a 13th installment.  The award-winning show is addicting, fast-paced and filled with colorful characters.  It also doesn’t require any writers.

Although Race is coming very close to matching lengthy life span, the production doesn’t feel nearly as tired as its predecessor.  Unlike the creation (currently on Round 15), the actually looks like its being filmed in a new location every single season.  (Plus, the show has my personal fave - host .)

The Amazing Race 12 currently airs Sundays @ 8pm on CBS.

The Amazing Race: Season 12: “Cherry on Top of the Sundae That’s Already Melted”

The Amazing Race

After their mandatory rest period in Vilnius, Lithuania, the six remaining teams worked on getting to their next destination: Dubrovnik, Croatia.  The first two couples, TK/Rachel and Kynt/Vyxin, made it to the airport within minutes of each other.  Since it was still very early in the morning, the teams collaborated on their internet research.  Although Kynt discovered that Czech Airlines had the first flight out, he chose to continue searching.  Meanwhile, TK and Rachel opted to wait in front of the closed Czech Airlines office.

Instead of heading directly to the Vilnius Airport, Christina and Ronald chose to use a hotel phone to make flight reservations.  Through LOT Polish Airlines, they secured seats leaving to Warsaw, Poland at 6:25 AM and arriving in Dubrovnik at 11:20 AM.  When the father/daugher duo finally arrived at the airport, they decided to line up with the hippies and the other arriving teams outside Czech Airlines anyway.  They wanted to make sure they had found the best arrangement.  Instead of waiting with the other five couples, the Goths chose to find a travel agency that offered tickets to several different airlines.  This bold move set off a wave of paranoia and another week of ticket purchasing confusion.

This Week on TV (12/10-12/16)

The Hills

MONDAY (12/10)
  • (ABC, 8pm):  “Linus and Lucy’s little brother, Rerun, hangs with Snoopy and his own sibling, the desert-dwelling Spike.”  Was I the only one not aware of the What’s Happening!/Peanuts crossover episode?
  • (CBS, 8pm):  “Ted asks his doctor on a date and his friends try to discourage him from dating someone he sees regularly.”  Relationships clearly work best when you never see them at all.
  • (ABC, 9:30pm):  “Lauren tries to convince her sister to move to LA so she can be nearby when the baby is born.”  Lauren’s sister isn’t stupid.  She knows what ‘be nearby’ means.
  • (MTV, 10pm): Season finale.  “Lauren gets an offer to go to Paris.”  I really hope doesn’t take their version of quality programming overseas (again).  The French hate us already.

Survivor: China: “Going for the Oscar”

Posted by Veronica Santiago Categories: Prime Time, Reality, CBS, Survivor,

Survivor ChinaAfter returning from one of the most shocking Tribal Councils yet, the six remaining survivors were in a celebratory mood; they had just successfully blindsided James, the holder of the two hidden immunity idols.  Todd was relieved that his biggest threat was now out of the picture.  Meanwhile, Peih-gee was ecstatic to see that the former Fei Long members had started to turn on each other.

Before beginning their next Reward Challenge, the contestants got a nice surprise:  visitors from home.  The family members/friends were there to give their smelly loved ones reluctant hugs….and to help them with their competition.  One by one, the weepy survivors welcomed their guests: Erik’s mother, Peih-gee’s father, Todd’s sister, Denise’s husband, Amanda’s sister and Courtney’s father.  (Am I the only one who found it strange that Denise was the only one with a significant other?)
