Imagine your mother texting you at school to let you know that you’ll be appearing on Ellen.
That’s exactly what happened yesterday to Greyson Michael Chance - the young boy who has rocked the Internet with his Lady Gaga cover.
After seeing his YouTube video, host Ellen DeGeneres immediately flew out the 12-year-old - apparently he’s not 13 - to not only perform “Paparazzi” on national TV, but to speak on the phone with “Miss Gaga” herself.
I can only imagine how low his classmates’ jaws will drop now.

American Idol 9: Top 4 Results
Posted by K.C. Morgan Categories: Music, Prime Time, Reality, FOX, American Idol, Video,
Ryan Seacrest kicked off the Top 4 results show by announcing the season’s highest vote tally, which was counted Tuesday night: nearly 37 million. The evening’s line-up offered Season 5 contender Chris Daughtry, rocker Bon Jovi and Season 3 winner Fantasia…not to mention, the shattered dreams of one Idol hopeful.
Fantasia began the night with “Bittersweet.” The wardrobe was horrible, but the performance was pretty good. The VH1 diva still has a strong set of pipes. Fantasia’s new album - the first in three years - will be out this summer. She says the album will offer a lot of “soul” tunes, which should delight Fantasia fans.

Still trying to wrap your brain around last night’s episode of Lost? Confused by all the chess/rock analogies? Then this Milton Bradley game might be easier for you to comprehend.
On last night’s broadcast of Jimmy Kimmel Live, the host devised a new game for Jacob and the Man in Black to play while spending their years on the island.
Keep in mind: Connect Four Million should only be purchased by families who have space in their homes to play it.

American Idol 9: Top 4 Perform
Posted by K.C. Morgan Categories: Music, Prime Time, Reality, FOX, American Idol, Features, Video,
The theme of American Idol 9’s Top 4 night was movie music, a sweeping genre encompassing many wonderful tunes. Jamie Foxx returned to Idol as the week’s mentor. He found the theme to be “a big task,” for the contestants. Foxx gave the four remaining singers T-shirts, one marked “Artist” and one marked “Contestant.”
“America wants to see the artist,” he explained to Ryan Seacrest.

VIDEO: Betty White Brings Big Laughs to SNL
Posted by Veronica Santiago Categories: Comedy, Late Night, NBC, Saturday Night Live, Video,
UPDATE: You can see Betty in unaired “Debbie Downer” and “Bronx Beat” sketches after the jump.
What is it about Mother’s Day that brings out the best in Saturday Night Live? (Remember Justin Timberlake’s “Motherlover” from just last year?)
Last night’s long-awaited broadcast with Betty White was arguably the best night the show had had in quite some time. (Of course, appearances from old SNL faves - Rachel Drath, Amy Poehler, Ana Gasteyer, Tina Fey, Maya Rudolph and Molly Shannon - were also responsible for a good number of the laughs.)
After the jump, you can watch just a few of the sketches - NPR, Scared Straight, Sally O’Malley and MacGruber - from the 88-year-old’s memorable visit.

American Idol’s Aaron Kelly Talks Elimination
Posted by K.C. Morgan Categories: Music, Prime Time, Reality, FOX, American Idol, Gossip, Video,
“I know that I had a lot of people wanting me to change it up a lot. But if I changed it up a lot, it would mean changing me.” Aaron Kelly, 17, faced the press bravely on the heels of his elimination from American Idol 9. During his time on the show, Kelly was known for crooning sweetly and perfectly on-point, displaying what would be dazzling vocals for anyone at any age.
But he also remained wooden on stage and only once deviated from his formula of singing softly and sincerely to the crowd, picking up the pace and making an attempt to move around on the stage for only one of the numbers he performed. Aaron Kelly explained that he thinks of himself “as a country artist,” so his song selection was all about “songs that I could make sound a little country.” If only he’d thrown in a little rock n roll, he might have made it to the Top 4.

After years of advising people how to make changes in their life, Dr. Phil McGraw publicly made a change of his own. On Friday’s episode of Oprah, the TV host did something he hadn’t done in approximately four decades- kiss a woman without a mustache on.
“For the first time in over 40 years - and I have two kids and they’ve never seen me without a mustache - I am going to take off my mustache,” he announced to the audience at Radio City Music Hall.
Check out the before and after for yourself and let us know what you think. Does Dr. Phil look better clean shaven? Or should he grow back his trademark look?

Lady Not Gaga About American Idol Editing
Posted by K.C. Morgan Categories: Music, Prime Time, Reality, FOX, American Idol, Gossip, Video,
Lady Gaga is raging on Twitter about her American Idol performance (though not for the same reasons I raged about it). According to the songstress, “FOX POORLY + AMATEURLY edited+cut my performance/musical arrangement on Idol.” And thank goodness. The interminable number lasted for a horrifying 5 minutes on Wednesday’s Top 5 results show - the actual performance was 6.5 minutes long!
Wanna see the entire performance (not recommended)? Watch the video above - if you dare.
Meanwhile, stay up-to-date on all the elimination interviews, behind-the-scenes gossip and recaps - read all our American Idol 9 posts.

VIDEO: Jay Leno Uses Terrorism to Insult Conan O’Brien
Posted by K.C. Morgan Categories: Comedy, Late Night, Talk Shows, NBC, Video,
Pay careful attention to the last ten seconds of this video. If you look at the dimmed, lower portion of the image, you’ll notice a small, silent joke bomb placed by Team Jay Leno to insult Conan O’Brien. The subject matter? Terrorism. The vehicle? Facebook. The result? That remains to be seen.
While doing a bit about would-be Times Square bomber Faisal Shahzad, the Tonight Show host presented a Facebook page purportedly owned by Shahzad. On it, you can see that Faisal belongs to a few groups: Al Qaeda, the Pakistan Frequent Flyers Club and Team Coco, the moniker used by Conan O’Brien supporters.
