According to rumors, Ricky Gervais may soon join the ranks of the NBC sitcom. Gervais played David Brent in the original UK version of .

Executive producer Paul Lieberstein dished on some of the details: “We talked about it today for a while. It’s not the leading idea…it’s not a dead idea.” Of course, there might be some story issues. “[Brent] was fired for incompetence, so we’d have to create some back story for what happened.”

UPDATE: Make sure to check out Paul Rudd as a Bat Mitzvah DJ here.

As painful as Liz Lemon’s commercial for “1-(900)-OK-Face” was to watch, we at least knew that clip wasn’t real. Unfortunately for , this spot for Mutual Savings Bank is.

After watching the video, keep one thing in mind: The things you did - or wore - in 1995 won’t necessarily prevent you from earning multiple Emmys in the future. (Until that time, you can revisit the classic spot after the jump.)

Awkward exchanges - as hard as they can be to watch - often come with very important lessons. This moment between KTLA’s Brian McFayden (yes, of MTV fame) and ‘s Christina Hendricks comes with two.

1. Note to reporters: It’s okay to imagine naked. Many people have. Just don’t tell her when you’re doing it – and don’t admit in on live television.

2. Note to any female who might be lucky enough to have Hendricks’ body: Don’t ever tell a man you were “running a bath.” This will only lead to uncomfortable moments – especially if other women nearby are forced to listen.

NOTE: This post is

not

an attempt to encourage anyone to smoke. So just relax and make yourself a drink.

As we previously learned from Don Draper’s Guide to Picking Up Women, there are key things you should know how to do if you want to “have affairs with many women.” “Smoke constantly” is one of these lessons.

Smoking is, of course, a (nasty) vice that looks entirely different when done by a handsome character like Don Draper. Therefore, it couldn’t hurt to copy some of his techniques. Maybe this clip featuring all of the cigarettes ever smoked during the previous seasons of can help you get started.

“It’s how it should be - hunter, prey. Let the game begin.”

At some point during every season of , we all ask ourselves the same question: “How the hell is he going to get out of this one?”

It’s time to hit replay.

When the Showtime series returns on September 26, Dexter Morgan (Michael C. Hall) will have to add “single father” and “grieving husband who shows know emotions” to his list of responsibilities. How is he going to juggle it all and keep Quinn (Desmond Harrington) off his track? And how the heck does Julia Stiles figure into all of this?? I’m dying to know.

Rejected contestant Ian Benardo doesn’t have a prayer of getting $300 million from the show, though he recently filed a lawsuit asking for this staggering sum. We’re pretty sure Benardo has filed suit more for publicity than for money…so we’re going to give it to him.

If you don’t know who Ian Benardo is, it’s probably because you didn’t watch the spectacular which aired in May. Benardo turned an otherwise average stage show into a circus when he ripped the microphone out of the hands of comedian Dane Cook and proceeded to scream out his agenda to the masses.

The one thing that differentiates this channel video from something you might see on Cinemax? The movie title planted on the bottom of the clip.

Yes - Debbie Gibson supposedly plays a “fanatical animal rights advocate” in Mega Python vs. Gatoroid. And yes - Tiffany was cast an “over-zealous park ranger.” But drawn-out catfights and ridiculous animal attacks - not realism - are what we watch Syfy movies for.

Sadly, this preview doesn’t include any blood or gore - but it does feature claws and cake. Enjoy.

will debut sometime in 2011.
