Two Celebrities Eliminated from Costa Rica

Holly Montag and Janice Dickinson

At the beginning of Thursday’s , the celebs were all abuzz with the partially-revealed elimination results. Janice Dickinson is not in the top two; Patti Blagojevich is not in the bottom two. Or so it stood Wednesday night. At the end of the episode, two would leave the competition.

The hosts returned the next morning to reveal another twist: the teams have been merged into one group. This means challenges will be conducted individually. was in a very bad mood after it was discovered that she was not in the top two. Holly Montag confronted Dickinson about her grumpy attitude and the two were easily able to bury the hatchet, though Janice poked fun at Holly’s reaction during her confession a little later.

The first individual food trial was Mud Pit Mania. Each celeb was asked to dress in wrestling clothes for the event, and all seemed to have fun getting themselves ready. The food prize for this challenge was pizza - quite the treat for several half-starved celebs.

Each would get three minutes in a large mud pit containing only three hidden stars for lucky contenders to find. The pit was also filled with random plastic balls and other objects…not to mention several jungle creatures in the form of small crocodiles.

Janice Dickinson was very frightened of the crocs and bowed out of the challenge early. She was so perturbed, she went running off into the jungle to get away. seemed to be having fun, throwing items from the pool and grunting. Sanjaya Malakar was the first to find a star, guaranteeing himself a spot in the pizza party.

also came up with a star to free herself from the mud, with Lou Diamond Phillips following after. Covered in crap, a laughing Lou gave host Myleene Klass a big hug to celebrate his victory. “Geez, is there anything you don’t win?” Torrie Wilson wondered of Phillips.

For the first live shot, the hosts strolled into camp to reveal some of the evening’s elimination results. “Lou and John have immunity,” Damien Fahey reminded them.

Sanjaya Malakar was the first to be declared safe, and he let out a sigh of relief. Torrie Wilson was also pronounced safe, but was eliminated. This left Stephen, Janice and Patti wondering which of them would be the next to leave the show.

The three-person pizza party was enjoyed thoroughly while the others enjoyed vegetables with their rice and beans. Janice tried to take all the broccoli and zucchini for herself, but John said when the food arrived in a bag marked with her name then it could be just hers - otherwise, food in the basket means it’s for everyone. “This stuff that came in the basket, all of us are going to eat some,” he told her.

“Be a primadonna somewhere else, sister,” added.

“He scares me,” Janice cried in the confessional later.

The second live shot showed the hosts going back to the camp to deliver the bad news. Stephen Baldwin was pronounced safe, and I breathed a sigh of relief. He’s both funny and entertaining, and I don’t want to lose him yet. Janice Dickinson was then eliminated, and the celebs lost their most annoying cast member. No more fights about vegetables - or mysteriously missing granola bars - now.

The celebs also got letters from home. John decided that they would be read aloud by other celebs than the ones to whom they were written. Lou read the NBA star’s letter, which offered some basketball-related advice from his wife. Patti read a letter from Sanjaya’s mother, which talked about his grandfather. John read the letter from Rod R. Blagojevich, Blago to his supporters, Patti’s husband. read the letter from Lou’s wife, which offered words of encouragement. Stephen read a letter from Torrie’s boyfriend, who talked about how proud he is of her.

On Monday’s episode, the two celebs with the lowest amount of votes must go head-to-head in a chug-a-bug challenge, drinking disgusting milkshakes comprised of NBC only knows what. To save your favorite celeb from such a fate, call in your votes or log into the NBC Web site to make your wishes known.

At the end of the episode, Janice and Holly sat down to talk with the hosts. “I can’t wait to shower and bathe and eat,” Holly told them. “I’ll miss everybody in camp,” she said. The Montag sister denied that there is a romance between herself and , saying they’re only friends. Janice praised the beauty of Costa Rica.

As for next week’s outcome, Holly predicted that Sanjaya will win the competition, while Janice believed it will be Stephen Baldwin.
