‘The Office’ Spin-off?
Although I love watching anything to do with the crew at Dunder Mifflin, this season’s hour-long episodes came very close to nearing the overexposure line. (Whatever happened to leaving us wanting more?) Now comes news that Mifflin may soon be producing more than just paper. Hoping to milk a good thing to death, the execs behind The Office are apparently preparing for a spin-off. Why do I have a feeling Ryan had something to do with this?
But fans need not worry: Angela and Dwight will not be leaving to run his Bed & Breakfast anytime soon. TV Guide reports the proposed series would be made up of characters not yet introduced (which would make ignoring it that much easier). But really—is a spin-off even necessary? Is this NBC’s way of trying to recreate the glory years when they managed to pull a Frasier out of Cheers? The network has already proven that an original idea is hard to come by these days which is why they have resurrected Bionic Woman, Knight Rider and American Gladiators. But The Office? Can’t they just leave a good thing alone?

Comments:
Dunno what the fuss is about a spin off. So many people seem to have forgotten that the current series is already a spin off.
So, if this one is so good, why would another be any different.
Given the effort put into turning Ryan into an american David Brent, if he couls be involved even as overseeing boss, it could easily steal the show from the current cast..
