Saved By the Bell Reunion Buzz
Mark-Paul Gosselaar - well-known to many as Zack Morris from Saved By the Bell - recently spoke about a possible reunion for the well-loved series. While chatting it up with Jimmy Fallon on late night TV, Gosselaar said he could be joining Mr. Belding, Kelly Kapowski, Jessie Spano, A.C. Slater and Lisa Turtle for a Bell reunion.
Respectively, their real names are Dennis Haskins, Tiffani Thiessen (billed on the show as Tiffani-Amber Thiessen), Elizabeth Berkley, Mario Lopez and Lark Voorhies. The only one missing from the main cast is “Screech” Powers, played by Dustin Diamond.
Saved By the Bell originally ran on early-morning NBC, but lives on to this day in syndication. It was by no means ground-breaking, controversial or even very original - just a lighthearted series about a group of great-looking High School buddies in California - but something about it stuck. Saved By the Bell ran for five seasons, eighty-seven episodes, and spawned two highly unsuccessful spin-offs. Two feature-length movies, broken down into four episodes each to air on TV, were also created.
And the Bell still lives on. You can find it most any day of the week on cable. Now, Jimmy Fallon is breathing new life into the show with his big reunion campaign. Sign the online petition to bring back the cast here.
You can also find out what the main cast members have been up to since the show’s cancellation in 1993.
