Joe Jackson Denies Claims of Child Abuse

“I raised him, just like you would raise your kids,” defended his parenting skills on CNN, chatting it up during Larry King Live earlier this week. “I didn’t make no mistakes, Larry.”

He also denied media reports that he’s been attempting to turn ’s children into a Jackson 3. “That’s a bunch of jive,” he answered the claims.

“You never physically harmed him?” pressed the issue of abuse, claims which have been made both by Michael Jackson and his mother Katherine. Michael made his confession to Oprah in 1993; Katherine wrote about abusive events in her 1990 book My Family. The memoir also talks openly of Joe Jackson’s extramarital affairs, one of which resulted in a child born in 1974.

“Never. Never have,” Joe Jackson maintained. “Harm Michael? For what? I have no reason. That’s my son.”

When asked about his son’s will, wherein Joe Jackson was purposefully left out, he said, “that’s the way he wanted it.”

Suspicion still his son’s death, and Joe Jackson cites some sort of foul play in the demise of Michael. “This doctor, he ran away. They had to look for him three days to find him. So what do you think there that’s happened? To me, that’s foul play.”

Jackson was referring to Dr. Conrad Murray, who was on hand at the time of Michael’s death but was unsuccessful in his attempts to resuscitate the singer. His lawyer has denied that Murray was ever actually hiding.
