In Plain Sight a Hit for USA Network

Weeds. Damages. The Closer. Saving Grace. Army Wives. What do they all have in common? These shows with female leads can all be found on cable.
Now we can add another program to that growing list: In Plain Sight.
The USA Network drama, starring Mary McCormack (The West Wing), debuted this past weekend to impressive numbers. The series about a U.S. Marshal working for the Witness Protection Program pulled in 5.3 million viewers during its 10 p.m. time slot. That’s the best turnout any new program has seen on that channel since Psych premiered in 2006.

Sight also delivered the best performance for any show in that time slot since The 4400‘s Season 2 opener back in 2005.
Wow - and I thought Lifetime was supposed to be television for women…
