Ladies and gentlemen, we now have a date. Operation “Save Melrose Place” will officially begin on November 17.

While this casting was rumored long before the new CW program tanked in the ratings, the announcement couldn’t have come at a better time. It was finally revealed today that will indeed return to the famous address during November sweeps.

“We’re ecstatic to have the chance to bring Amanda Woodward back to Melrose Place,’” a statement from executive producers Todd Slavkin & Darren Swimmer read. “Heather’s involvement in the show is something we’ve been working on for some time as we couldn’t imagine creating and producing this show without the iconic character’s inclusion.” (Of course, that didn’t stop them from producing the show before she was signed on…)

Heather’s appearance is, of course, just one of several being made by Melrose vets. Laura Leighton and Thomas Calabro will soon be joined by Josie Bissett and Daphne Zuniga as well.

There’s been no clarification so far as to the length of Locklear’s stint.
