David Blaine’s Next Televised Stunt

He’s lived in a sphere, slept in a block of ice, fasted in a hoisted box and balanced on a tall platform. Now he’s prepared to turn his world upside-down. Literally.
Next month, street magician David Blaine will once again dazzle the residents of New York with another one of his famous endurance challenges. Armed with electro-magnetic boots, the daredevil will hang by his feet from a thin wire for approximately 60 hours. Although he’ll have the ability to walk around, he won’t be given a safety net should he fall. Did I mention that he’ll be doing this over Central Park’s Wollman Rink?

And just like with his previous stunts, Blaine won’t provided any type of food during his three-day stint. The only sort of sustenance he’ll be allowed is the occasional liquids. But in order to stay hydrated, he’ll have to find the energy to pull himself up.
Those in the New York area can see the event kick-off on the morning of September 22. The rest of us will have to settle for the updates on our evening news or for the 2-hour ABC special on September 24.
