Chris Sligh His Own Worst Enemy?

American Idol logo Fans were drawn right away to his wry humor, fun hairstyle, and powerful vocals. So, where did it all go wrong? Should fans blame Simon Cowell, who roundly dissed Sligh’s last performance (just before he was voted off American Idol)? Was it because every song he sang on the Idol stage was a sappy-sweet lovelorn melodrama? Or was it Chris Sligh’s attitude that proved to be the catalyst that ended his American Idol career? Motivational experts seem to think so, though Sligh maintains the elimination is “no big deal.” The singer says his goal was to make the Idol top ten in order to participate in the summer tour. Goal achieved, and then it was time for Sligh to fly. Let’s hope the former Idol contestant adopts a new, much more positive attitude when it comes to his future successes.
