It’s been announced that Britney Spears will host a fashion event in Beverly Hills next month: the Scandinavian Style Mansion party. The founder of the event said Spears is “a style icon for women” and they’re quite pleased she’ll be involved. (Listen, when women start taking fashion clues from Britney Spears we’ll all be wearing black bustiers - and no one wants that on a runway.)

In other Britney news, The Associated Press is preparing for the eventual death of Spears. Not that they want her to meet her demise anytime soon, but they do want to be prepared if/when she does kick off.  The news media sometimes prepares celeb obits in advance, though generally not for stars who are still so young.
