Jose Bautista denies steroid allegations

Damien Cox of the Toronto Star pointed out this past weekend that Jose Bautista, the major league home run leader, may be having such a dream season due to – yup, you guessed it – performance enhancing drugs. He did not state whether he knew for a fact that Bautista was juicing, just merely that we, as fans, have an obligation to question such a dramatic increase in performance thanks to what we’ve witnessed in the last 20 years of Major League Baseball.

McGwire finally comes clean

It appears that Major League Baseball’s “Steroid Era” isn’t quite over yet. Mark McGwire finally admitted to the public what we already knew – that he was on steroids for a significant portion of his career; including when he broke the Home Run Record in 1998. However, he did say that he only took steroids in low doses to help him recover from injuries in the mid-90s and not to improve his on-field performance. However, that doesn’t explain why he still thinks his career statistics and records should remain untarnished.
