What the heck happened to Chone Figgins this year? After leaving the Angels last season and becoming one of the most sought after free agents and opted to sign with the then-hopeful Seattle Mariners, Figgins ended up playing second base for the worst team in baseball. After winning a World Series in 2002 and being an All-Star in 2009, things have really turned around for the 32-year-old Georgian. Now he’s mulling around a struggling team and playing some of the worst baseball in his career.

Holes in the Halos need filling

With the MLB Awards now all handed out, the offseason can officially begin and teams can start re-tooling, re-shaping, or flat out re-building, and 2010 is already shaping up to be a huge question mark for the Los Angeles Angels. They have six players that have filed for free agency, some of which are among their best. Kelvim Escobar, Chone Figgins, Vladimir Guerrero, John Lackey, Darren Oliver, and Robb Quinlan are all on the open market looking for jobs, and the odds are that not all will return to the City of Angels.
