Brady Quinn
Brady Quinn, who somehow fell all of the way to pick number 22 this year in the NFL Draft, had a very good debut for his team, the Cleveland Browns, today in an Exhibition game. Despite the victory going to the Detroit Lions with a score of 23-20, Quinn made 13 complete catches out of 20 attempts. None of his throws would become interceptions, and he gained 155 yards overall. Brady, a product of Notre Dame, would complete 5 straight passes before an incomplete pass.

Cleveland Browns coach Romeo Crennel insists that Quinn is not a candidate to start for the Browns come the regular season, but other options at quarterback haven’t been impressive. Charlie Frye, Derek Anderson, and Ken Dorsey haven’t been nearly as impressive on the field as Brady. Both anderson and Frye were booed heavily byu the Cleveland fans at halftime. Quinn is obviously the fan favorite, but he’ll have to keep up his keen performance to gain the respect of his head coach.
