Gen Con Wants to Fill E3 Void

It looks like Gen Con, described as the largest consumer fantasy, sci-fi and adventure game convention in North America, is stepping up to the task of wanting to host more video game exhibits in the wake of the mega E3 scale down announced last week.
Gen Con said today they will increase venue space and change a location to better incorporate the video game business as a focus of the Gen Con shows. Both of Gen Con’s shows will be impacted as a result. For their 2007 Indianapolis show, an additional 43,000 square feet will be added to the exhibit hall with additional space expanding into area hotels. For their Southern California show, they will be moving it from Anaheim to the Los Angeles Convention Center in 2007.
