TankWe know that every time we show you military gadgets you want to play with them, too. So in an effort to keep our readers happy, we have found you the ultimate vacation, a Tank Driving lesson. You and your instructor can play with an Abbott tracked gun, an Armored Personnel Carrier or a six-wheeled Stalwart for about 2 hours. There is a slight catch. You have to be between 5 ft. and 6 ft. 4-inches, weigh less than 252 lbs., and be at least 17 years of age. The cost for the lesson is £175.00 (~$343.00.)

Edd HifengIf you think your Second Life avatar is kewl, think again. Edd Hifeng is not just a typical virtual world figure. He is actually an AI created by researchers at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. He can converse and reason to a limited extent. While he can answer limited questions, he only understands English that has been translated into mathematical logic. Director Selmer Bringsjord says Edd could be a hint of things to come and hopes that it will lead to more sophisticated holograms that can interact with people in 3D settings such as subway stops.

Revolve Power StripWho says that power strips need to be flat, horizontal, or bulky? If your computer is backed into a corner and you never seem to have enough outlets, consider designer Takumi Yoshida’s answer, the Revolve. The electrical hub rotates 360º making it a lot simpler in cramped quarters. Still at the prototype stage, Takumi admits on his Coroflot page that he has seen devices similar to his, but we say there is plenty of room for the competition. Contact him if you are interested in his Revolve.

Dark Knight T-shirtMore hype for the new Batman movie means more bucks for the producers, so it is little wonder that we found this Dark Knight light-up tee. The shirt is made of 100% cotton and has a small unplugable battery pack for washing. The clever t-shirt goes from glow to pulsating and requires 2 AAA batteries (not included.) Shadow Caddy

It may be time for overworked caddies to find another line of work. The Shadow Caddy is a three-wheeled electronic device that carries golfers’ clubs without a remote. It works by a tracking system and simply follows you and your transmitter around. So far the caddy is only available for rent at Australian golf courses, but we are certain they would love to hear from anyone who wants one enough to import it to his/her countries. Check out the videos on their site to see the Shadow in action.

Venturer Converter BoxIf you were one of those who jumped early on the DOC Digital to Analog TV coupon giveaway,  then you probably know that you only have 90 days to use it and are probably close to the end of the line. We did some shopping over the weekend and found most Wal-marts were out of the converters. We did manage to find two at Targé. Although there was one from GE for about $60.00, we opted for the cheapy Venturer for $47.99. By the way, they add tax to the original cost before taking the price of the $40.00 coupon off, but two boxes for $21.74 is still a decent deal. And if you buy a digital TV before next February, we suspect there will be plenty of others who would love to have your converters.
