Miley Cyrus Defends Use of Little People on ‘Bangerz’ Tour

Miley Cyrus has defended her use of little people as backing dancers.
The "We Can't Stop" star is accompanied by short people on stage for her current Bangerz Tour, but insists they are employed to have fun rather than just because of their height.
Talking to MSNBC's Ronan Farrow, she said, "We're making them feel sexual and beautiful." Speaking more specifically about one of the dancers, she added, "We're all about lifting her up and making her feel so sexy all the time, and having her dance - she's actually an awesome dancer. They're just like dancing, doing these cute moves and they're awesome dancers just on their own. It's not me telling them how to be. It's really funny how serious people take it. And [people are] like, 'You're racist.' And I'm like, 'Really?' We're like a bunch of kids dancing around in, like, bear [suits], we don't do choreography."

One Direction have announced a world tour for 2014 - and the boys can't wait to see beauties in thongs in Brazil. The band - Harry Styles, Niall Horan, Zayn Malik, Liam Payne and Louis Tomlinson - are going to play a series of mammoth stadium shows across the globe but they are most excited about going to the South America country because it has beaches packed with bikini-clad babes.
Announcing their Where We Are tour at London's Wembley Stadium today, Liam said, "There's a fact here, thongs are common place [in Brazil]. So I think that's something to look forward to. We can't wait, Brazil's an amazing place."
Niall added, "And they're big into carnivals out there so we'll be partying with the Brazilians."
The "Live While We're Young" hitmakers are also keen to check out the sights of Peru when they play there. "We'll try the food and appreciate the women - and the culture," Louis said.

Green Day have are planing to play "3,000" shows in support of their new albums.
The "Oh Love" band are releasing three records - Uno!, Dos! and Tre! - and joked that for such an ambitious project they will have to have a suitably sized tour to match.
"The full tour, we'll probably do about 3,000 shows. Right now, we're just warming up and getting ready to go out there, start swinging. The sky is the limit right now. We're just going to keep going. We want to play a lot of small clubs, a lot of theaters, a lot of arenas, and then who knows what else," bassist Mike Dirnt told MTV News.
Fontman Billie Joe Armstrong - who completes the band up with drummer Tre Cool - also said they always keep up with new music, and let it evolve the direction of their own sound.

Mel B wants the Spice Girls to tour together again.
The 90s girl band - made up of Mel, Victoria Beckham, Geri Halliwell, Emma Bunton and Mel C - performed at the Closing Ceremony of the London 2012 Olympics on Sunday night and now "Scary Spice" is keen for them to go on the road again: "We're always talking about getting together. We always have cups of tea and dinners together. We're all friends at the end of the day."
Mel loved being with the girls again and enjoyed spending some quality time together as they rehearsed at the Olympic Stadium in Stratford, east London. "It was lovely. Those four girls mean everything to me. We had such an amazing time. We were hanging out in the dressing room all day because we had to get there at 10am on Sunday morning. We had a great time ... we were just hanging out, playing music and gossiping with each other. It was a lovely, proper girlie time," she told The Daily Mirror.
Mel wouldn't reveal many details about a possible future reunion but said it was on their agenda. "We haven't had any actual conversations except raving about the Olympics so far, but yeah ... we'll see," she said.
