Morrissey Hospitalized with Double Pneumonia

MorrisseyMorrissey has been hospitalized with pneumonia in both lungs.

The former Smiths frontman - who has suffered a string of health problems in recent months, including a bleeding ulcer, throat condition Barrett's oesophagus, and anaemia - was forced to cancel a show in San Francisco on Saturday due to the potentially life-threatening condition.

However, Morrissey - who only returned to the stage last month after axing a string of US dates because of his health woes - is hopeful of being well enough to perform at the Vive Latino Festival in Mexico on Thursday. A statement on fan site True to You said, "Morrissey is presently being treated in San Francisco for 'double pneumonia,' but remains on course to headline the Vive Latino festival in Mexico City on March 14. Morrissey's show at the Regency Ballroom in San Francisco will now take place on May 1."

Meanwhile, Morrissey also hit out at "extreme and silly" security at the Arlene Schnitzer Theater in Portland, where he performed on Friday: "Place an obese McDonalds fry-girl into a venue security uniform and she is suddenly Eva Braun."

Lady GagaUPDATE: Lady Gaga has cancelled the remaining concerts for her tour due to her need to undergo surgery.

Lady Gaga has been battling chronic pain from a severe injury while on tour. The "Bad Romance" singer has postponed a number of her upcoming concerts because she can barely walk after hurting herself more than a month ago and is suffering from synovitis, which is severe inflammation of the joints.

The 26-year-old star revealed she was forced to cancel a number of her shows on her Facebook page on Tuesday, saying, "I barely know what to say. I've been hiding a show injury and chronic pain for some time now, [and] over the past month it has worsened. I've been praying it would heal. I hid it from my staff. I didn't want to disappoint my amazing fans. However, after last night's performance I could not walk and still can't."

The pop star was forced to postpone two concerts in Chicago, one in Detroit and one in Hamilton, Ontario. "I hope you can forgive me, as it is nearly impossible for me to forgive myself. I'm devastated & sad. It will hopefully heal as soon as possible. I hate this. I hate this so much. I love you and I'm sorry," she said.

Green DayGreen Day have postponed the beginning of their 2013 arena tour while Billie Joe Armstrong continues rehab.

The band's frontman went into treatment for substance abuse problems in September when he smashed a guitar and swore multiple times on stage in Las Vegas, and the group have now called off the remainder of their 2012 club dates and pushed back the beginning of next year's tour.

"Obviously, the timing for this isn't ideal, but Billie Joe's well-being is our main concern. We are happy to say that Billie Joe is doing well, and we want to thank you all for the outpouring of support and well wishes that we have received, and we can't wait to see you all again soon," Bassist Mike Dirnt said in a statement released on Monday.

Radiohead Postpone Shows

Thom Yorke of RadioheadRadiohead have postponed a string of European concerts.

The "Karma Police" hitmakers are delaying seven shows which were due to take place at the end of this month and the beginning of next following the collapse of their stage in Toronto last weekend, which resulted in the death of one crew member and injuries to three others.

"Whilst we all are dealing with the grief and shock ensuing from this terrible accident there are also many practical considerations to deal with & consequently we have to try and reschedule," they said in a statement.

The statement also noted that the tragedy had "destroyed" the group's spectacular light show, so the postponement of the shows will help put the visuals back together: "The collapse also destroyed the light show - this show was unique and will take many weeks to replace. The collapse also caused serious damage to our backline, some elements of which are decades old and therefore hard to replace."
