The Backstreet Boys were "honored" to receive a Hollywood star on the Walk of Fame on Monday.
The group - formed of A.J. McLean, Nick Carter, Kevin Richardson, Howie Dorough and Brian Littrell - were presented with the 2,495th commemorative plaque on the world famous sidewalks. All the band members were in attendance to unveil the star located near the Live Nation building in the 7000 block of Hollywood Boulevard and their tribute is also near Boyz II Men's star.
Addressing a crowd of fans, Kevin Richardson, 40, said, "What an honor it is. What a beautiful day. What another beautiful way to celebrate 20 years together."
Nick, 33, added, "Backstreet is Back ... and we aren't going anywhere."
The Backstreet Boys also marked their 20th anniversary with a fan celebration at the Fonda Theatre in Los Angeles last Saturday.

Backstreet Boys will release a documentary to celebrate their 20th anniversary. The five piece - comprised of Brian Littrell, Nick Carter, A.J. McLean, Howie Dorough and Kevin Richardson, who rejoined last year after taking some time out - have hired Katy Perry's Part of Me 3D co-producer Stephen Kijak to direct the tell-all movie.
"We always wanted to make a film and now is the ideal time. With Kevin back, the fact that we are masters of our own destiny, a new album in the works and our 20th anniversary -- it all adds up to being the right time to share our story," the group said.
