Phil Collins Quits Music

Phil CollinsPhil Collins, 7-time Grammy winner, is retiring from music. Collins has enjoyed a lengthy career in the entertainment game, serving as a successful solo artist and front man for Genesis. His hits include "Sussido," "In the Air Tonight" and "Another Day in Paradise."

“I don’t think anyone’s going to miss me,” the singer was quoted in Time magazine, speaking on his retirement. Collins currently makes his home in Switzerland.

Collins, 60, released his album "Going Back" in September 2010. He’s decided to quit recording due to failing health, and we wish him all the best.

ABBA Inducted Into Hall of Fame

Benny Andersson never expected to make it to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.

The Swedish foursome will join the prestigious roll of honor much to the surprise of the “Waterloo” hitmakers. The musical group join The Hollies, The Stooges, Genesis and Jimmy Cliff in the upcoming induction.

“I didn’t think this would happen, because we were a pop band, not a rock band. Being a foreigner from the North Pole, this feels really good,” Andersson said.

Artists can be inducted 25 years after their debut release and this is the first time the “Californication” hitmakers, along with rapper , have been up for the honor.

“It’s a real honor to be nominated in our first year of eligibility. Obviously the Hall of Fame has excellent musical taste,” drummer Chad Smith said.

Phil Collins Forced to Retire Drumming

After numerous years seated behind a drum set, musician Phil Collins has been forced to place the sticks down. The former Genesis singer says its far too painful for him to take up the instrument now.

The 58-year-old, who recently saw Mike Tyson imitate his “In The Air Tonight” solo in The Hangover, had been playing for most of his life. His stint with Genesis lasted 26 years before he moved on to a successful solo career.
