Kurt Cobain's childhood home could be turned into a museum.

Fans of the late Nirvana singer have joined a campaign to raise money to turn the property in Aberdeen, Washington into a tourist attraction. The "Numb" singer's mother, Wendy O'Connor, put the bungalow on the market last year for $500,000, even though it was only valued for about $67,000 and now fan journalist Jaime Dunkle has now set up a page on website GoFundMe to try and pull in $700,000 to "[make] sure this house is memorialized by us fans so it doesn't end up in the clutches of capitalist greed."

She said she sent information about herself to Kurt's mother to prove that she wasn't a "crazed fan" and was serious about trying to raise the money. "I used to be in the American Criminal Justice Association, so I made a long list of everything I've ever done and emailed it to the real estate agent, and she said she was forwarding it to Mrs O'Connor. After that, they started taking me more seriously, I think. It took weeks of phone calls and emails, but I successfully set up an appointment to see the house. I deliberately arranged it to be on what would have been Kurt Cobain's 47th birthday," Jaime told the Broward-Palm Beach New Times.

Kurt Cobain’s Belongings for Sale

Kurt Cobain's former roommate is selling his belongings on the internet.

Items belonging to the Nirvana frontman, who committed suicide and was found dead in his home in Seattle, Washington in 1994, are being sold on Craiglist by a man claiming to have lived with the star in Capitol Hill in Washington.

Kurt's belongings include skis, a phone and video game, range between $25 and $80, which the old roommate had kept hold of for a number of years. "I have been holding on to a bunch of stuff that he left in a box when he moved out. He owed us rent and said he would get the box when he came back and gave us the money but he never came back, then when he was famous he never really talked to any of us again because Courtney [Love] never liked us," he wrote.

But the roommate, who was a bass player in Seattle rock band Gruntruck, insists he's not a fan of the Hole singer, so there are "no hard feelings" and he plans to sell more of Kurt's belongings. "I also have a lot more stuff of kurts, like magazine and clothes that i will be selling off soon. thank you for looking [sic]," he added.

Taylor Swift Made Music Out of Loneliness

Taylor Swift started writing music because she was lonely.

The 23-year-old beauty has had several high-profile flings - including One Direction singer Harry Styles - but she insisted rejection when she was younger motivated her to begin creating her own songs: "I started writing songs because I wasn't invited to parties and sleep-overs. I wasn't noticed by the guy I like."

However, the "We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together" hitmaker found solace in her art and she explained she has learned "a lot" of important life lessons from her own music. "Writing songs has taught me a lot. One of the hardest lessons to learn in life is there's sometimes nothing you can do to make someone like you if they don't. It's okay to let that go," she added.

Taylor is known for putting her personal life on display in her tracks, and she has admitted her openness in that way means she doesn't feel the need to take her clothes off like many of her pop rivals. "I find it relatively easy to keep my clothes on because I don't really feel like taking them off. It's not an urge I have. For me 'risky' is revealing what really happened in my life through music. Risky is writing confessional songs and telling the true story about a person with enough details so everyone knows who that person is. That's putting myself out there, maybe even more than taking my shirt off," she previously said.

Chris Wright Refused to Sign David Bowie

Record producer Chris Wright refused to sign David Bowie, whom he now considers to be "one of the greatest recording artists of all time."

The founder of Chrysalis Records had the 66-year-old star constantly "pleading" with him and visiting his London office in the early 70s in the hopes of getting signed however Chris would pretend to be out when David called. "David Bowie was in our Oxford Street office, in London, all the time, often pleading for money to go and make demos. He'd come in with his wife, Angie, who appeared to wear the trousers. Our receptionist would ring around - but we would all pretend to be out! Thankfully we did agree to take 25% of his publishing rights until 70 years after his death. We missed out on signing one of the greatest recording artists of all time but at least he helped our publishing wing get off to a brilliant start," he recalls.
