UPDATE: Nelson's charge has been dropped to a misdemeanor.

If Willie Nelson’s luck runs out, it could be a while before he’s back on the road again.

The country legend, who has had several run-ins with the law, was arrested last Friday for another drug-related offense. This time, Nelson was detained in Sierra Blanca, Texas for possessing six ounces of marijuana.

The substance was discovered at a security checkpoint after U.S. Border Patrol agents smelled the substance coming from the singer’s tour bus.

Willie and two others were arrested by the Hudspeth County Sheriff’s Office. The 77-year-old was later released after posting $2500 bond.

According to an Austin, TX-based criminal defense attorney, Nelson’s charge could mean anywhere from six months to two years in jail.
