Even if you watched both hours of American Idol's debut Wednesday tonight, you may have missed Randy Jackson's most interesting critique this week.

During a recent appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live, the reality show judge was asked to grade one his new coworkers.

"Now Jennifer Lopez -- a beautiful woman, a lot of charisma ... but if she was in front of you singing ... On a grade of 1-10, what grade would you give Jennifer Lopez?" Jimmy pressed.

"I think Jennifer would definitely get a 7," Randy claimed. "She's not like the biggest voice in the world, but she can sing," he insisted. "It's the package. I mean you look at Britney, you look at Ke$ha, you look at Gaga ... You look at these people and they're not like my girl Mariah Carey."

When Kimmel questioned how Jackson could give both Lady Gaga and Lopez a "7," he made a revision: "OK, I'll give Gaga an 8."
