Warning: This is the
red bandversion of the trailer. So if you’re not old enough to watch an R-rated film, cover your eyes!
If you’re needing a break from the sci fi blockblusters, this mindless comedy could be the perfect retreat.
This Friday, three friends - actors Bradley Cooper, Ed Helms and Zach Galifianakis - attempt to recover from a wicked bachelor party. They also embark on a mission to find the missing groom (Justin Bartha). What happened to them the night before? Why is there a baby in their hotel room? Is anyone else thinking about Dude, Where’s My Car?
The Hangover was directed by Todd Phillips, the guy behind Old School.

Daniel Craig Joins Hugh Jackman on Broadway
Posted by Veronica Santiago Categories: Celeb News,

Wolverine and 007 will be combining forces for a different kind of blockbuster this fall. That’s when Hugh Jackman and Daniel Craig will star in A Steady Rain, a Broadway play.
The Aussie and the Brit will have their acting chops put to the test in this production. The Keith Huff drama centers around two friends - and Chicago cops - who become involved in a domestic dispute.
Jackman, who won a Tony award in 2004, has not appeared on stage since his run in The Boy from Oz. Meanwhile, Craig, whose had theater experience in London, will be making his Broadway debut.

Hilary Swank‘s next film will have the Oscar-winner soaring out of the ring and into the air.
In Fox Searchlight’s Amelia, Swank plays famed aviator Amelia Earhart, the first woman to fly solo across the Atlantic. The pilot - along with a navigator - mysteriously vanished in 1937 after attempting a flight around the world.
The biopic, based on screenplay by Ronald Bass (Rain Man), also stars Richard Gere as publisher George Putnam (Amelia’s husband) and Ewan McGregor as Gene Vidal (Earhart’s lover).
Amelia, directed by Mira Nair (Vanity Fair), is scheduled for an October 23 release.

Gilles Marini Not Expecting Sex and the City Invite
Posted by Veronica Santiago Categories: Casting, Celeb News, Celebrity Gossip,
Gilles Marini‘s profile may have risen since his last appearance in Sex and the City, but that won’t guarantee him a spot in the upcoming sequel. In fact, the actor is not expecting to be asked at all.
“In the first movie, Dante helped Samantha realize maybe she’s not ready to be married and whatnot. But now she’s back in New York, so is the guy going to go to New York and all of a sudden they’re going to meet?” Marini said to TV Guide. “I believe it’d be great if I could come back, but it won’t make much sense and it’s pretty much a story between the four girls. I don’t know if I’d say yes or no, but there’s a big chance I’m not doing it.”
So he’s saying that storylines should actually make sense? Huh.
Fortunately, fans of the Dancing with the Stars runner-up can still get more of him for free. Gilles is scheduled to appear in several episodes of Brothers & Sisters next year.

Ron Burgundy’s Return
Posted by K.C. Morgan Categories: Sequels, Comedy, Casting, Upcoming Releases,
Will Ferrell has been hinting around for months that he might reprise his role as Ron Burgundy, San Diego’s 70s-era news anchor, in another flick. While on location, the funnyman told reporters that he’ll soon meet with Anchorman co-stars Paul Rudd and Steve Carell to talk about ideas.
But don’t get excited just yet. Rudd and Carell’s careers have changed quite a bit since Anchorman hit the big screen in 2004. Carell was once just another correspondent on The Daily Show, a lot of people didn’t recognize Rudd and Will Ferrell has become one of the biggest box office stars in the biz. Will the budget stretch enough to hold them all…and the other supporting cast members?
Rumor has it that the Anchorman sequel, if it ever comes into existence, will propel polyester-clad Burgundy into the 80s.

Buffy to Burst Onto Big Screen…Again
Posted by K.C. Morgan Categories: Adventure, Horror, Comedy, Rumors, Upcoming Releases,

Even if you were once a fan of The CW series (back when the network was still the WB), you might not be familiar with the 1992 movie that launched the Buffy the Vampire Slayer franchise. One had very little to do with the other, but since the movie was none-too-successful it didn’t seem to matter much anyway.
The truth of the matter is, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, the film, scored around $16 million gross in the U.S. That’s to date. Running at 86 minutes and starring Kristy Swanson in the title role, the film revolved around high school cheerleader Buffy (Swanson) and her vampire-slaying legacy, as introduced to her by a Watcher whose purpose it is to train the slayer (Donald Sutherland). For reasons that all tie in to Luke Perry, I loved the movie when it came out.
