A-Team Hoping to Recruit Liam Neeson and Bradley Cooper
Posted by Veronica Santiago Categories: 20th Century Fox, Action, Adaptation, Casting, Celeb News, Upcoming Releases,

The success of The Hangover has put Bradley Cooper on the A-Team.
Cooper’s $45 million weekend was just capped off with news of a makeover. The former Alias star is now in official talks to join a big-screen adaptation of the NBC series. Bradley is line to play Lt. Templeton Peck (a.k.a. “Faceman” or “Face”), the part originated in the ‘80s by Dirk Benedict.
Actor Liam Neeson could also make up a quarter of that memorable group. The Taken star is currently in negotiations to step in as Col. John “Hannibal” Smith. That cigar-smoking character was made popular by George Peppard.

Iron Man 2 Cast Buffed and Filming
Posted by K.C. Morgan Categories: Paramount, Action, Adaptation, Sequels, Casting, Celeb News, Rumors,

Mickey Rourke recently put on his Whiplash costume in preparation to work on Iron Man 2, and his rippling muscles certainly won’t be alone on the set. Rourke’s costume will show off his tattoos and an electromagnet that’s very similar to the one worn by Tony Stark. With leather and iron braces showing off his buffed-up bod, Rourke will no doubt make a big impression on the big screen.
But he’s not the only actor who will have audiences staring at the screen in wide-eyed wonder. Scarlett Johansson has packed on the muscular pounds for her role as Black Widow and star Robert Downey Jr. is in Iron Man-ready shape for the production.
Don Cheadle (who replaced Terrence Howard) and Gwyneth Paltrow will also be featured in the flick, which is scheduled to hit theaters on May 7, 2010.

Box Office Breakdown: The Hangover Rises Above Up
Posted by Veronica Santiago Categories: 20th Century Fox, Disney, Fox Searchlight, Paramount, Sony, Universal, Action, Adaptation, Adventure, Animation, Drama, Family, Horror, Religious, Romance, Science Fiction, Sequels, Comedy, Thrillers, Box Office, Lists,

Unlike most Mike Tyson fights, The Hangover‘s win was no knockout.
After a back-and-forth battle with Up, Todd Phillips’ film about an eventful bachelor party edged out the animated pic by less than $1 million. Hangover - which features no major stars (unless you count the boxer) - grossed nearly $45 million on its opening weekend. That’s the third best debut for an R-rated comedy ever. (Only Sex and the City and American Pie 2 have done better.)
Meanwhile, a project actually featuring an A-lister became the summer’s first stinker. Land of the Lost, starring Will Ferrell, Anna Friel and Danny McBride, earned a sad $18.8 million over the past three days. Although that amount was good enough for third place, the film cost an estimated $100 million to make.

Carradine’s Death Forces Production Changes
Posted by Veronica Santiago Categories: Casting, Obituaries, Scripts, Upcoming Releases,

The sudden - and currently unsolved - death of David Carradine last week has forced several projects to readjust.
According to TMZ, the producers of Stretch, the movie David was filming in Thailand, are now working on retooling the script. The 72-year-old still had critical scenes yet to complete at the time of his passing.
Meanwhile, two other movies will simply replace the actor altogether: Portland, an indie film that was nearing the principal photography phase, and Beyond Legend, Johnny Kakota. The producers of the latter project are now hoping to fill the void with Jon Voight.

You might have already made your Twilight trek to Forks, WA…but have you toured the Northwest with stars from the movie?
Next summer, vampire fanatics can reminisce about Eclipse‘s release during a sightseeing cruise. The vacation, which will launch from Seattle, will begin with a motor-coach tour of Forks. (That’s the real-life city where the teen romance is set.) The journey will then continue on to Alaska. Oh - did I forget to mention that Alice and Emmett Cullen will also be aboard that ship?
Those able to book a reservation will have the opportunity to participate in Q&A and autograph sessions with actors Ashley Green and Kellan Lutz. A costume ball and a charity auction are also listed on the cruise itinerary
