RybackWWE star Ryback wants to replace Arnold Schwarzenegger in the Terminator franchise.

The 32-year-old professional wrestler - real name Ryan Reeves - has admitted he would love to launch a Hollywood career like fellow wrestler-turned-actor Dwayne Johnson and has had a lifelong ambition to play the cyborg assassin character that propelled Arnold, 66, to worldwide stardom in 1984. "I feel like I'd be the perfect comic book villain. I've always said that I've been waiting for the Terminator remake to happen so that I can take on that role. So if anyone out there is listening - the big guy wants to be the Terminator," he said.

Although Ryback would love to play the famous role, the dedicated grappler would only consider an acting career if it didn't interfere with his grueling wrestling schedule: "I'm a WWE superstar first and foremost and I enjoy working the WWE schedule and I take pride in being able to do all I've done - all the live events since I've been here, and being in all the television tapings and working the full schedule, being on the road five days a week and home a day and a half. If we're able to work something out and if we have a weekend off here and there to do a movie or to go that route and still be a WWE Superstar, then, let's do it!"

VIDEO: Every Arnold Schwarzenegger scream from every Arnold movie

Posted by Andru Edwards Categories: Action, Videos,

Nothing can highlight the ridiculousness of the infamous scream of better than a compilation of every single one of them stitched into one video (although Conan O'Brien does come close.)

Gotta admit, we've kinda missed hearing the odd bellows of rage from the big guy. Here's hoping we get more in the future.

Oh, and interesting enough, Arnold didn't scream at all in the Terminator series.

Cinema Scene: AMPAS Invite for Sandler, Animated Movie for Trolls

Adam Sandler-What do Adam Sandler, Mo’Nique and James Gandolfini have in common? They all recently received invites from the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences (AMPAS).

-Avatar may not have cleaned up at those Oscars, but it did win more than its share of Saturn Awards. The movie nabbed 10 prizes this week including Best Science Fiction Film.

-Should we be blaming or thanking The Smurfs for this? The Troll dolls, recently seen in Toy Story 3, will soon be the subject of their own DreamWorks Animation film.

-Looking forward to the Entourage premiere? If so, you should be happy to know executive producer Mark Wahlberg is still planning a big screen version of the HBO program.

-The only piece of robot memorabilia remaining from 1984’s Terminator is going up for auction. The “T-800 Terminator” metal arm is expected to fetch over $15,000.

Joss Whedon Was Serious About Terminator Bid

Joss Whedon, self-proclaimed mastermindWhen I read Joss Whedon‘s open letter (seen in full after the jump) to the Terminator owners (putting down a $10,000 bid for the rights), I laughed so hard that I actually didn’t think that the Dollhouse creator penned it himself.

Up against moguls like Sony Pictures and Summit Entertainment (the folks behind the very profitable Twilight franchise), Whedon barely seems to stand a chance as he waves his meager $10,000 offer around—was he serious at all? Turns out that the geek extraordinaire hasn’t wanted money this badly “since they auctioned off frames from The Little Mermaid.”

When asked if he finds his bidding laughable, Whedon remarked, “What do you mean, funny?! You think $10,000 is funny?! Here’s the thing: It’s not a slam on The Terminator. I love The Terminator. That part’s totally true. So you know what, never hurts to ask.”

To much of his fans’ surprise, the writer-director claims that he doesn’t just like the series because his former co-worker Summer Glau was on the television series: “I loved the movies, even the later movies. I loved the mythology. I loved the TV show [The Sarah Connor Chronicles]–like, really loved. Not for pretend. And not just because of [star] Summer [Glau].”

Helena Bonham Carter on Leave from Terminator Salvation

Helena Bonham CarterA personal tragedy has forced to temporarily stop work on Terminator Salvation.

The 42-year-old, who had been filming in New Mexico, has reportedly been given indefinite leave after a fatal minibus crash.

The incident, which happened Wednesday in South Africa, killed four of Helena’s relatives. The group had been on safari when the tire of their VW van supposedly blew out, causing the vehicle to roll.
