Doesn’t this take away some of the excitement of The Dark Knight Rises? Warner Bros. has already announced it will re-boot the Batman movie franchise (for the fourth time) after the newest sequel in the current storyline plays out. The hero will be reinvented, again, for the big screen. An entirely new cast and crew will address the epic comic book icon in future feature films.
Christian Bale’s last turn as the Caped Crusader will come to theaters July 20, 2012.

Tomb Raider is coming back to the big screen, but this time Lara Croft won’t be played by Angelina Jolie.
No writer has been hired, no cast has been named and the release is scheduled for some far-away date in 2013, but we do know this: producer Graham King is going in a whole new direction. He hopes to “create daring new adventures for the young and dynamic Lara Croft.” According to previous reports, the Lara Croft origin story will be re-explored and tweaked in the rebooted version of the franchise.

Kevin Costner Signing on to Superman Cast?
Posted by K.C. Morgan Categories: Warner Bros, Action, Adaptation, Adventure, Casting, Rumors, Upcoming Releases,
Kevin Costner is talking with producers about taking on a “key role” in the upcoming Superman movie. Henry Cavill (The Tudors) has already been cast as the main man in blue and red, and now he’ll need a supporting cast.
But, which role will Kevin Costner play? Will the new reboot feature a considerably older Lex Luthor character, as did the last reboot? Or will Costner play a good guy, maybe Daily Planet editor Perry White or Clark Kent’s dad Jonathon Kent? Perhaps this reboot features newer Superman characters, like police commissioner Henderson maybe?

“They’re considering me!”
Heather Morris, who plays Glee’s vapid cheerleader Brittany, could become the next Buffy. “I found out and almost peed my pants ‘cause I was so excited!”
Die-hard fans of the Buffy the Vampire Slayer film and TV franchise have cried foul on the planned remake, which will be made without Joss Whedon. The Buffy TV series creator was approached about the project early, but declined to work on other projects (like The Avengers).

Buffy the Vampire Slayer Reboot Moving Forward
Posted by Veronica Santiago Categories: Warner Bros, Action, Horror, Remakes, Science Fiction, Scripts, Upcoming Releases,

A planned reboot of Buffy the Vampire Slayer has a new name attached to the project – and it still isn't Joss Whedon.
Warner Bros., the studio that had optioned the project from Fran and Kaz Kuzui, formally announced Monday that it will be moving forward with the production despite Joss Whedon’s previous declaration that he would not be involved.
"There is an active fan base eagerly awaiting this character's return to the big screen," producer Charles Roven explained. "Details of the film are being kept under wraps, but I can say while this is not your high-school Buffy, she'll be just as witty, tough, and sexy as we all remember her to be."

Sony Pictures has confirmed that, as suspected, Emma Stone (Easy A) will be among the cast of the new Spider-Man re-launch—though not in the expected role.
Stone will star as blonde Gwen Stacy, Peter Parker’s other love interest.
As previously reported, the role of Parker will be filled by Andrew Garfield (who may currently be seen in The Social Network), and so far no Mary Jane Watson has been cast.
Next up for Emma: an October 23 appearance on Saturday Night Live.

As much as everyone would like to forget about it, a Buffy the Vampire Slayer film is still expected on the big screen again.
Yes, I speak of the one Joss Whedon has opted to stay non-involved with. It would appear as if the writer-director (and creator of the much better television version of the same name) isn’t the only one not feeling the Fran Rubel Kuzui and Kaz Kuzui reboot—Alyson Hannigan, who played Buffy’s best friend Willow on the show, is also voicing her rather negative opinion of the project.
