Men In Black 3 is the ‘Most Action-Packed Movie Yet’

Men In Black 3 will have "more action, aliens and magic" than the previous two films in the franchise.
The movie's director Barry Sonnenfeld believes the latest addition to the sci-fi comedy series has "something new and inventive" in the shape of a time travel element that sees Agent J (Will Smith) go back in time to the 1960s to stop an alien from assassinating Agent K (Tommy Lee Jones).
"The relationships are incredibly strong. From Will Smith and Tommy Lee Jones, between Will Smith and Josh Brolin. And I think we also have more action than in Men In Black 3 than in Men In Black and Men In Black 2' Also, more aliens and more magic. The audiences will be amused, amazed and also moved. I think if we can do all of those three things then we'll have a really successful movie. With Men In Black 3, it's not only a Men In Black movie, it's also a time travel movie. We wanted the movie to be both familiar and different. We wanted to bring Will Smith and Tommy Lee Jones back together again. But we also wanted something new and inventive, and that came in the time travel element," he said when asked what the chemistry was like between Will and Josh Brolin - who plays a younger version of Agent K.

Will Smith Originated Men In Black 3

Will Smith came up with the concept for Men In Black 3.
The actor reprises his role as alien fighting Agent J in the third installment of the popular movie franchise and director Barry Sonnenfeld revealed Will came up with the idea himself, which sees him travel back in time to rescue his partner (played by Tommy Lee Jones).
"Will calls me Baz. When we were shooting Men In Black II [in 2002], one night he said, 'Hey Baz, I think I have an idea for number three.' The basic idea was that Will's character, Agent J, would have to go back into the past to save his partner. It allowed the movie to take place in another era, and us to learn more about Tommy Lee Jones' character. But it turned out to be a very long process of development, mainly because of the knotting issues of time travel, the time travel thing was really hard," Sonnenfeld said.
He also revealed he started shooting the movie without a finished script which made the whole process more difficult: "We knew starting the movie that we didn't have a finished second or third act. Was it responsible? The answer is, if the movie does as well as I think it will, it was genius. If it's a total failure, then it was a really stupid idea."

-It pays to be one of Adam Sandler’s friends. According to Chris Rock, the comedian gave his (male) Grown Ups costars Maseratis as “Thank You” presents. (He could just give me the $200,000 in cash.)
-Batman Live will be hitting the UK and the US next year. The traveling stage production – which will not be a musical – will include a “brand new original storyline” and a list of familiar Batman characters.
-Although we shouldn’t be surprised to hear about a “Chilean miners” film – did you know that shooting on The 33 of San Jose started five days after the miners were rescued? No release date has been announced yet.
-Despite reports that Betty White would join the cast of Men in Black III, it appears that news wasn’t true. “Where did that come from?” the Golden Girl questioned. "All these rumors come up but there is absolutely no truth to any of it."

UPDATE: White says she is not a part of the movie.
What do a Pussycat Doll and a Golden Girl have in common? They both have roles in the new Men in Black film.
The third MIB installment will not only bring back Will Smith and Tommy Lee Jones, it’ll include appearances from Betty White and singer/dancer Nicole Scherzinger.
Earlier this week, the former Dancing with the Stars contestant not only confirmed her participation in the upcoming sequel – she gave away a big secret about her part.
"My name is Lilly. She's like a small villain role. I'm so excited because I get to die,” Nicole revealed. “I make an appearance. I say a couple of lines and then I die."
It’s not known what role White will play in the film.
Shooting on Men in Black III will begin in December for a May 25, 2012 release.

Here’s the latest scoop on the sequel buzz spreading across Hollywood:

The director of The Day After Tomorrow and and 2012 is now talking about a follow-up to his 1996 hit, Independence Day.
