Despite maintaining her unofficial Princess of Pop title with headlining one of the biggest shows in Las Vegas these days, Britney Spears recently revealed that she'd like to revisit her acting career.
"I would love to act. I would love to do movies. If it was the right part, it would be really cool… I love funny movies," she said at her Vegas show's opening last night. When asked which are her favorite films as of late, she named We're the Millers (Jennifer Aniston, Jason Sudeikis) and Bridesmaids (Kristen Wiig, Melissa McCarthy), adding, "I also love Jennifer Lopez movies."
Spears was featured on The New Mickey Mouse Club in the early 90's and also acted alongside Zoe Saldana and Taryn Manning in 2002's poorly received Crossroads. She has also guest starred on TV sitcoms Will & Grace and How I Met Your Mother.
The 32-year-old mother of two has also considered reitiring after her Vegas residency.

Jennifer Lopez Quits ‘The 33’ Over Jealousy?
Posted by Andru Edwards Categories: Drama, Casting, Celebrity Gossip, Rumors,
Jennifer Lopez has reportedly quit a movie because producers refused to only cast actresses less attractive than her.
The 44-year-old star is said to have dropped out of The 33 - based on the true story of the trapped Chilean miners - after bosses wouldn't agree to cut people for being "too sexy." A source told the Daily Star, "J-Lo kept going through the hundreds of casting photos and whenever she spotted a female who looked too sexy she'd slash a big, black X across their face."
The singer-and-actress has a reputation as a demanding star, but in the past she has hit back at claims she is a diva. "I think people love to look at them [riders] and go, 'Oh my God she wants M&M'S ... she's crazy!' I think everyone has their list of things that make you feel comfortable ... like a certain kind of potato chip or water. I think the crazy ones are made up," she recently said.
Jennifer has even admitted she felt "insecure" about her career, taking a while to accept that she deserved her success: "I was always so insecure. Then I grew, little by little, and realized, wait a minute, this is not a fluke. I'm not a mistake - I work my ass off. And I know what I'm doing."

Here’s a quick look at some of the casting announcements made recently:
Former Rolling Stone journalist Evan Wright is currently working with Paramount to bring his next project to the big screen. Wright’s 2004 book, Generation Kill, is currently airing on HBO as a mini-series. Now Evan has signed a deal to adapt something he is still writing.
Cocaine Cowboys - not to be confused with the 2006 documentary by the same name - will tell the story of Jon Roberts, a real-life drug trafficker who wound up working with the Medellin drug cartel. Interestingly enough, Mark Wahlberg has signed on to star and co-produce the adaptation. Those familiar with Entourage - a show Mark created - may remember that Vincent Chase fought hard to get the lead role in the movie Medellin.
Director Peter Berg (Hancock) has been tapped to helm the project.
