Tina Fey is developing a Mean Girls musical. The 30 Rock comedienne - who wrote and was featured in the 2004 film starring Lindsay Lohan - is looking to bring the hit teen comedy to the stage with the help of her husband Jeff Richmond.
Quizzed about a possible Mean Girls musical on the red carpet at the Screen Actors Guild (SAG) Awards in Los Angeles last night, she told E! News, "Maybe! We want to. I would love to. I'm trying to develop it with my husband, who does all the music for 30 Rock and I think Paramount's onboard."
While the musical is very much in the early stages, the 42-year-old star feels "Triumphant" singer Mariah Carey would make a great candidate for the role of villain Regina George's ditzy, "cool" mother in the stage show. Tina, who "loved" the American Idol feud between Carey and Nicki Minaj, said, "I think Mariah won. Like, Mariah seemed to really know all the characters. Maybe she can play Amy Poehler's part in the musical."

Bradley Cooper has begun talks to play Lance Armstrong.
The Oscar nominated Silver Linings Playbook star - who previously expressed his desire to portray the "fascinating" disgraced cyclist after he was stripped of his titles between 1999 and 2005 when it emerged he had taken performance-enhancing drugs - has formally approached J.J. Abrams about starring in his upcoming biopic about Lance's rise and fall from grace.
J.J. confirmed that he is considering the 38-year-old star for the role after he reached out to him via email.

Julianne Moore has been confirmed to star in a remake of Carrie.
The 51-year-old actress has signed up to play the titular character's abusive, fundamentalist Christian mother, Margaret White, in a reboot of the 1976 horror movie, which will see Dark Shadows actress Chloe Moretz take on the lead role. The Three Musketeers star Gabriella Wilde will portray Sue Snell in the film, which will see Kimberly Peirce direct with Kevin Misher producing, Deadline reports.
Julianne was offered the role of Margaret in March, while Chloe is thought to have beaten off competition from Dakota Fanning and Saorsie Ronan to play Carrie, an abused girl with psychic powers who experiences bullying troubles but gets pushed too far one night. Kimberley is thought to be using Stephen King's original book as an inspiration for the reboot, which could see a new take on the story.
The Carrie remake is scheduled for a March 15, 2013 release.

Gary Ross is set to direct Houdini.
The filmmaker - who recently directed the first installment of The Hunger Games - is in negotiations to helm the big screen adaptation of The Secret Life of Houdini, The Making of America's First Superhero, William Kalush and Larry Sloman's biography of escapologist Harry Houdini. The book is famed for insinuating Houdini acted as a spy for Britain, helped the Secret Service and was in cahoots with police organizations.
Summit Entertainment picked up feature-film rights to the book in March 2009 with the aim of launching an action-thriller franchise and Noah Oppenheim wrote the most recent draft of the script.
Ross - who has previously helmed Pleasantville and Seabiscuit - recently pulled out of directing the sequel to The Hunger Games with Francis Lawrence replacing him. Although Ross is yet to sign up, bosses are hoping he will agree to do it, but he is known for being very choosy about his projects.
