Colin Firth can’t stop thinking about Nicholas Hoult.
The legendary British actor - who recently played gay college professor George Falconer in A Single Man - has praised his costars Nicholas, Julianne Moore and Matthew Goode for their great work on the dramatic blockbuster.
“They are at the top of the game,” he said. “When I close my eyes and think of the film, I tend to see Nick Hoult’s face looking back at me. It’s very hard to forget the eyes. I never had such an easy time as when I worked with Julianne. That relationship felt real to me.”
Colin didn’t know how well he would get on with the flame-haired actress and his co-star Matthew. “I wasn’t sure about it on the page, but the minute I met her, it was there. I think it’s exactly the same with Matthew Goode. Like that scene on the sofa, there’s moments of familiarity,” Firth explained.
The Bridget Jones star has also spoken out about working with clothing designer-turned-director Tom Ford - who in charge of the film. “It was very clear to me that this was not a vanity project,” he told About.com. “Just his choice of material indicated to me that this was not just a chance for him to show off his spring collection.”
