Tilda Swinton Impersonates David Bowie at Exhibition Party
Posted by Robin Paulson Categories: Celebrities, News,
Though Tilda Swinton is as unique in style as they come, the Scottish actress decided to honor the look of iconic British musician David Bowie by imitating him!
Swinton, 52, dressed up as "The Stars (Are Coming Out Tonight)" singer at the unveiling of the his exhibition, David Bowie is, at the Victoria & Albert Museum in London. From her perfectly coiffed short hair down to her glistening blazer and wide-legged pants, the We Need to Talk About Kevin star could pass as Bowie's twin sister.
Truthfully, Swinton - who starred in the music video for Bowie's latest single - sees him more of a cousin. "I've been a Bowie fan since the age of 12. So to work with him was well.... He's my cousin," Swinton said.
Other stars like Rosario Dawson, Matt Smith, and Chloe Delevigne appeared at the opening for the exhibition - which runs from March 23 to August 11 and features a retrospective of Bowie's career - though none clearly looked as stunning as Tilda!

Sneak Peek: Tim Walker’s ‘Story Teller’
Posted by Robin Paulson Categories: Celebrities, Editorials, Fashion Designers, Models, News,
Fashion photographer Tim Walker has offered up a taste of what to expect from his upcoming photo book, Story Teller.
While some photos immediately recall famed editorials of his from years past, he has also included new material, including a portrait of Alexander McQueen - seen after the jump - joining a skull for a cigarette break (this was actually the last known photo taken of McQueen before he died in 2010).
The title Story Teller is quite appropriate for Walker, considering his theatrical, colorful sense of photography (which, of course, seems to be a fashion designer's dream!).
The retrospective will span a hefty 254 pages of his work, mixing editorial and portraiture from back to 2007.

Victoria Beckham Wants Tilda Swinton, Angelina Jolie

Victoria Beckham wants to dress Tilda Swinton. The singer-turned-fashion designer has already seen a host of female celebrities wear her designs and admits it would be a dream come true if the Oscar-winning actress donned one of her creations at a prestigious event.
"I'd like to dress Tilda Swinton, I'm obsessed with her, and also Angelina Jolie, Kate Bosworth and Michelle Obama - she would look great in the dresses. I'm flattered whenever I see a woman wearing one of my dresses - they don't have to be famous - and it's always a great compliment," Victoria said when speaking about who she would like to dress.
Victoria says celebrities often ask to wear one of her dresses, but she is very careful about how many she gives out because she doesn't want anyone in the same outfit.
"There has been competition to wear the same dress but I deal with it in a diplomatic way. I know what it's like - you don't want to wear the same thing as someone else. All the requests come through me. I make sure I manage it well so there's no embarrassment of people wearing the same thing. I don't want people ending up in those 'who wore it better' features, unless it's me because I wear them first. It's been amazing. The response has been breathtaking."
Swinton Looks Hauntingly Beautiful in Pringle of Scotland Campaign

Red-haired androgynous beauty Tilda Swinton looks “hauntingly” beautiful in her new campaign for Pringle of Scotland.
The Oscar-winning actress - who fronted last season’s advertisements for the label - has been photographed alongside Turner prize winner Douglas Turner in an abandoned oyster bay in Loch Fyne, Scotland, and her unique look shines through. Talking about the campaign shot by photographer Ryan McGinley, Pringle creative director Clare Waight Keller told Vogue.com:
“There were really two moods that I felt strongly about for this campaign. The first was to use the Scottish landscape in quite a surreal way, where Ryan’s spectacular lighting, especially in the night photography, really captured the haunting beauty of Tilda and her surroundings and the uniqueness of Douglas Gordon in a truly stunning combination. The second was a slightly more boyish, ‘bovver boy’ feel, a bit more casual, hanging out at the back of a bike shed.”
