Items Du Jour: Vuitton Has a New CEO, a Kate Moss Doc, and January Goes Dark

+ Louis Vuitton's CEO of 22 years, Leo Carcelle, has stepped down, leaving Jordi Constans to take his place.
+ Kate Moss has revealed that she will soon be followed by a camera crew in order to create a tell-all documentary about her life. Having tied the knot and largely kept out of the tabloids lately, a documentary of her day-to-day life doesn't seem all that enticing...
+ January Jones was spotted with brunette locks while out with her son Xander. The natural blonde has been a redhead for a role in the past, but there's no word yet as to whether or not a similar cause prompted the color change.
+ Although she was spotted looking frighteningly normal at Sunday's American Music Awards, Kesha is back to her old ways, photographed in a zany pants suit and floral top with leopard-printed creepers at JFK airport in New York.

Items Du Jour: Ralph Lauren Casts Plus-Size Model, Rashida Flaunts It

+ After having caused previous controversy with their Photoshop-happy campaigns, Ralph Lauren has hired plus-size model Robyn Lawley for their upcoming campaign. The 23 year-old size 8 model has previously been published in Vogue Italia and French Elle.
+ George Michael and Kate Moss prove that they're besties on next month's French Vogue cover, which looks more like a paparazzi shot than a major fashion publication's cover.
+ Parks and Recreation star Rashida Jones leaves the laughs at home for her Flaunt photo shoot, in which she trades her girl-next-door image for that of a Victoria's Secret model.
+ What do you do if you're Adele and a major label like Burberry asks you to be the face of their next campaign, yet you can't wear any of their clothes? Easy! You demand that they create some plus-size styles or the deal is a no go.

PHOTOS: Vogue Italia Gets Robotic in the Office

Fashion photographer Miles Aldridge shoots Charlotte di Calypso for Italian Vogue‘s Beauty supplement looking gorgeous… but creepy.
Styled by Cathy Kasterine, Charlotte wears ChloĆ©, Ralph Lauren and Stella McCartney with some interesting (yet sleek!) hair styles. In the above photo, I can’t help but notice the the resemblance to Tavi.
If you’re into the clothes (or the mannequin-esque looks!), check out the rest of the photos after the jump.

Marc Jacobs Goes Plus-Size
Posted by Andru Edwards Categories: Fashion Designers, Health & Beauty, News,
Marc Jacobs is to create a plus-sized clothing line.
The designer will become the first top fashion label to create clothes for women above a US size 12, as he feels females with bigger body shapes should be able to have as much choice as those with slimmer frames.
“We are in talks now. For plus sizes. Listen, we are in the very beginning stages of talking to a partner about plus sizes. I’m a big guy 6ft 4in, 210 lbs. It’s not easy for me to find clothes. Of course I can have them made. I know how everyone feels. I try to diet but… I don’t like the phrase plus-sizes. Any suggestions? “We gotta do larger sizes. I’m with you. As soon as I get back to NY. I’m on it! It will take me about a year. But stay with us. (sic)” Robert Duffy - president of the Marc Jacobs label - told followers of his Twitter page.
If Marc and Robert’s plans are successful, experts says they could cash in on a “huge and untapped” market.

Items Du Jour: Jessica Alba Saves the Day, Tom Ford Confirms Next Film

—Louis Vuitton models walked down the catwalk with temporary tattoos from artist Scott Campbell. Ed Hardy much?
—Actress Jessica Alba has completed her good deed of the week, swaying a 21 year-old Chinese woman from getting plastic surgery to look like her, in hopes of winning her ex-boyfriend back.
—Burberry’s Fall/Winter 2010 ad campaign has hit the interwebs. The photos star a beautiful and British blend of models and musicians. Great, another reason to be jealous of not being British.
—After the critical success of his directorial debut, it’s no wonder that Tom Ford is taking on a second film. Unfortunately, he’s not letting any details slip just yet.
—Emma Watson attended the Glastonbury Music Festival looking somewhat stylish. I’m loving her Louis Vuitton corset, but not necessarily agreeing with her choice in blue jean shorts.

CFDA Honors McQueen

Sarah Jessica Parker posthumously awarded the late Alexander McQueen at the Council of Fashion Designers of America (CFDA) last night. The Sex and the City 2 actress gave a speech as she honored the British fashion designer, who committed suicide in February, with the Board of Directors Special Tribute Award.
“I don’t think one brief segment of the evening could really illustrate what he meant to the industry or to the people that worked with him or to his family - so it’s a very hard thing to try to be brief and substantive in a matter of two minutes. But I think his work speaks for him more than I could.”
A McQueen runway show then followed, which included a display of the designer’s fashion pieces, leaving some members of the audience in tears.

Fashion Police: Carine Roitfeld Kicks Ass

Is Carine Roitfeld a secret comic book nerd?
The French Vogue Editor-in-Chief recently attended a Ralph Lauren dinner donning a cape and serious black lace and knee-high boots. Looks to me as if she ought to be wearing this to the Kick-Ass premiere instead…
Fashion faux pas or crime-fighting chic?

Janet Jackson Gets Cozy at Ralph Lauren

Janet Jackson attended the Ralph Lauren fashion show last Friday.
The 43-year-old singer sat in the front row of the New York Fashion Week show alongside the legendary designer’s family. When asked what her favorite look was, Janet replied, “I love them all!”
Ralph’s Spring/Summer ‘10 collection saw models embracing the “resilient spirit” of the nation and its work ethic. Among the looks featured were silver-sequined slashed jeans, work shirts, and metallic blue lame gowns with details of a workman’s coverall.
The designer, who’s known for his classic sportswear brand, said that he wanted his blue-hued collection to reflect the nation’s drive during the recent economic problems: “Hard times seem to sharpen our capacity for idealism and our optimism that tomorrow will be a better day. I am inspired by the character of the worker, the farmer, the cowboy, the pioneer women of the prairies living authentically through challenging times.”
His collection also featured 30s-inspired delicate floral-print dresses and contrasting, tailored denim styles.
