Pixie Lott Signs to Select Models

Pixie LottPixie Lott has signed with Select Models Management. The singer says she's thrilled to be working with such a prestigious agency because fashion has always played such an important role in her life.

"I've always loved experimenting with different looks and styles through work - it's one of the perks of the job! I've always been surrounded by clothes, and I love fashion and accessorising. I've learned a lot about what works and what doesn't, which has helped to build my confidence and interest in fashion. Music and fashion go together well for me as they are both very expressive. I was asked to design a range for Lipsy, which was a great way to experiment more, and now I've got the opportunity to immerse myself in fashion at another level which is really exciting. Being with Select is like getting my first real fashion job after an apprenticeship!" said the 20-year-old beauty, who has her own clothing range with British high street store Lipsy.

Legendary model scout Tandy Anderson, of Select Model Management, told vogue.co.uk, "Pixie is stunning. She has presence, style, an infectious personality, and has already caught the eye of various designers and photographers, from Dolce & Gabbana to Ellen Von Unwerth. She's a talented and successful musician and we are confident that as a model, she can enjoy similar success."

Pixie Lott in Lipsy

Pixie Lott launched her latest fashion collection with a star-studded party last night.

The singer has once again teamed up with British high street store Lipsy to create a Fall/Winter range and celebrated it with a bash at exclusive London restaurant Gilgamesh, where guests included Sugababes star Jade Ewen, The Saturdays singer Mollie King and TV presenter Konnie Huq.

“I just kind of say what pieces we need. For the rock range, I said ‘We need a leather jacket, we need a jumpsuit, we need an everyday dress.’ Then we sat together to discuss the details. I said we needed some studding, and stuff like that. I wear black mainly most of the time, and pins and stuff, and it’s rocky so I used that. But for the party range I brought in some colour as well and some bright prints, she said when speaking about the ideas behind the range, which comes in Pixie Rock and Pixie Party.

Pixie Lott Teams Up with Lipsy

Pixie LottSinger Pixie Lott has designed an exclusive fashion range which pays homage to her sense of style.

Lott has teamed up with British high street brand Lipsy to create a clothing collection, using her own unique look as the inspiration: “I have always been a big fan of Lipsy - I love what the brand stands for and I’m having great fun working with such a talented a creative team.”

The Pixie Collection has two distinct looks - Pixie Festival and Pixie Party - with both complimenting Lipsy’s sexy attitude. Vintage style cotton dresses, bleached denim, maxi dresses and fringed waistcoats make up Pixie Festival while Pixie Party consists of sexy chiffon layered dresses, oversized animal prints and studded vest dresses.

Jeremy Stakol, Lipsy’s CEO, said of the collaboration, “Pixie has string ideas about fashion, understands product and has her own unique style. She is exactly what Lipsy is all about in terms of fashion - we’re really pleased with the collection and confident it will be the top of every girl’s shopping list.”

The range will launch in the UK next month.

Pixie Lott Bathes in Coconuts, Stands Against Photoshop

Pixie Lott tells fans what keeps her skin so smoothWant in on Pixie Lott’s secret to smooth skin? Jump in a bathtub full of coconut oil!

The British songstress, who reached fame with her hit track “Mama Do (Uh Oh, Uh Oh),” keeps her skin smooth and moisturized by using a low-cost body oil in her bath water and directly on her skin for a tan-extending summer skin treatment.

“I use coconut oil in my bath to keep my skin soft and silky, and in summer months after exfoliating it helps preserve my tan.”

The 18-year-old beauty has also perfected her favorite “smokey eyes” look after taking tips from professional make-up artists: “The best tip I’ve learned is, when doing black smokey eyes, work on those before you apply your foundation because the eye shadow can drop and ruin your face.”

The blonde teenager has also blasted those who airbrush photographs, claiming the image-enhancing technique can cause people to feel “inadequate”: “I think airbrushing is something to be wary of. Some people take airbrushed images as gospel and this can sometimes lead to them feeling inadequate by comparison.”
