First Look: Courtney Love’s Never the Bride Collection

Courtney Love took to popular microblogging site Twitter to offer her fans a sneak peek of her upcoming clothing line, titled Never the Bride.

Whether you're excited or humored by Love's foray into the fashion world, the photos seem to indicate that Love isn't too shabby (no pun intended!) of a designer (which perhaps isn't all that surprising considering the following she has for her own style).

The photos (a couple more can be seen after the jump) feature Chloe Norgaard, whose multi-colored locks compliment the pale pallet of the collection, which was made from repurposed vintage clothing.

What is the essence of Never the Bride - in Courtney's own words? "This is the stuff that I would wear if I was young enough to not look like Bette Davis in Whatever Happened After Baby Jane?" No word yet as to when or where you'll be able to snag a few of the pieces, despite Courtney incorrectly reporting on Twitter that they'll be available on Net-a-Porter.

Fashion Police: Mary-Kate Returns to Her Layered Cave

To think that she was making such a positive recovery with her daily wear...

Fashion designer Mary-Kate Olsen was spotted in Beverly Hills looking a little less than her usual fabulous self. Lost in layers that nearly swallowed her small frame, she intriguingly paired the oversized sweater and coat with blue trousers that revealed both her ankles and -- gasp -- tennis shoes.

Are comfort levels no excuse for an outfit like this, or do you secretly find this being something you would wear?

First Look: Lanvin for H&M

H&M has finally thrown fashion junkies a bone.

After initially keeping their lips sealed with headless promos making fans guess who was to head the next designer collection, H&M finally announced Lanvin would be the line. Then there were the couple viral videos that showed a behind-the-scenes look at the campaign with the clothes censored and an Alber Elbaz tirelessly putting his creations to paper as two model French maids waited on him. In both instances, the H&M clothes didn't appear, and weren't expected to appear until the November 2nd online fashion show... until now!

Hedi Slimane Shoots Georgia May Jagger for Harper’s Bazaar

It looks like Harper's Bazaar is on a role with their editorials! First was Christina Hendricks, and now Georgia May Jagger graces the fashion magazine's pages this month looking gorgeous and ever-so graceful. Fashion designer and photographer Hedi Slimane shot the rockstar spawn (catch a video and the rest of the photos after the jump) in Giorgio Armani, Michael Kors, Gucci, Lanvin, and Chanel Haute Couture.

When asked about what her model mother Jerry Hall thinks of her topless shoots, she seems to not care, considering she's been there and done that decades ago:  "My mum did a lot of very provocative work with Helmut Newton. She understands."

Whether it's the result of her mother's genes or her own inherent talent, Georgia May looks flawless in the photos.

Japan’s Cheeky Trend

Why go pantsless when you can just wear a revealing skirt instead?

Well, that’s what many Japanese women are opting for, anyway. A recent trend in the country, women are actually going out in public (as evidenced by the photos) wearing these skirts! Thankfully for innocent bystanders’ sake, the revealing bottoms are actually painted on (then again, they look real enough, so it may still be disturbing).

Are they too tacky or just too fashion forward? Would you jump on this cheeky trend’s bandwagon?

Fashion photographer Miles Aldridge shoots Charlotte di Calypso for Italian Vogue‘s Beauty supplement looking gorgeous… but creepy.

Styled by Cathy Kasterine, Charlotte wears Chloé, Ralph Lauren and Stella McCartney with some interesting (yet sleek!) hair styles. In the above photo, I can’t help but notice the the resemblance to Tavi.

PHOTOS: Harper’s Bazaar Christina Hendricks Shoot

In what is slowly becoming the infamous interview in which Christina Hendricks defends her Christian Siriano dress from the vicious words of Cathy Horyn, the television starlet also happens to have a gorgeous, fierce editorial that seems to match her attitude.

Terry Richardson shot Hendricks for Harper’s Bazaar (more pictures after the jump), who wears classic, tailored looks from Stella McCartney, Dolce and Gabbana, Yves Saint Laurent, and Dior in the spread.

I’m really glad that he didn’t resort to using food as suggestive props again!

Daily Mail Weighs in on Katy Perry

Whether or not you’re a fan of latex-loving Katy Perry, one has to admit that it’s refreshing to see a celebrity with a different body type who is confident in her skin—especially when unflattering photos of certain “too thin” celebs seem like they’ve run rampant in gossip magazines lately.

One story that recently ran in the Daily Mail featured the above picture of Perry, writing that her dress “clung in all the wrong places” and “was definitely unflattering,” leading them to write, “Usually Katy looks a million dollars, but apparently even she has her off days.”

While unflattering images of celebrities caught off guard ring in my head (makeup-less Lady Gaga at the beach, Madonna’s pre-Photoshop ads), this picture of Katy definitely didn’t seem to fit into the pattern.

Again, while I’m not much of a Perry fan—her style is too childish and bright for my taste—I must admit that she looks pretty amazing in the extremely short dresses she’s now famous for. Then again, why should I be surprised in the first place that a tabloid is changing its opinion on the healthy body type in the first place?

PHOTOS: Pre-Photoshop Madonna for Dolce and Gabbana

Yet another celebrity’s pre-Photoshop images are outed by the internet. This time, it’s Madonna for Dolce & Gabbana.

Although the untouched photo may not be the best angle or lighting, it is very clear that Madonna’s controversial arms have been de-muscled in the ads, in addition to some heavy editing done to her nose and chin. Her eye makeup isn’t very flattering either, which is perhaps why the ads were printed in black and white.

Either way, the Queen of Pop works hard for her toned form; she should be able to flaunt—not drastically alter—it!

Lady Gaga, Marc Jacobs Cover V Magazine New York Issue

One thing is for sure when you book Lady Gaga for your magazine cover: you’ll be paying for plenty of skin.

Gaga covers V Magazine this month as her version of the Statue of Liberty alongside Marc Jacobs. Dubbed the New York Issue, the “V” is written in bubblegum—naturally.

While some may be outraged at Gaga’s impersonation, I’d have to say that it’s not nearly as shocking as other issues and figures she’s tackled, on top of the fact that this is a magazine that once featured a topless Adriana Lima whose chest could be seen by scratching off the “V” letter.
