After a string of flops at the box office, Johnny Depp has now made a poor choice during his latest trip to the hair salon.

The 50 year-old Lone Ranger star debuted his new 'do at Saturday's BFI London Film Festival Awards event, presenting his Sleepy Hollow and Dark Shadows co-star Christopher Lee with the BFI Fellowship honor. Depp is known for his varying looks according to whichever film project he's currently enlisted, but there's no word yet as to whether or not the bleach blonde choice is his own or for an upcoming movie role.

Rachel Zoe Added to CFDA Board

Rachel ZoeRachel Zoe has been added to the Council of Fashion Designers of America's board.

The organization - a not-for-profit trade association of over 350 of America's foremost fashion and accessory designers - admitted 26 new members including Rachel, Joseph Altuzarra of Altuzarra, von Furstenberg's Yvan Mispelaere and Jean-Michel Cazabat. The CFDA also extended Diane von Furstenberg's run as president for another two years with the designer first taking on the role in 2009.

"Diane has done an excellent job as CFDA president. The time and resources she gives and the vision she has created is a huge benefit for our organization and industry," CFDA chief executive officer Steven Kolb told WWD.

Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen took home the biggest prize at the recent CFDA awards. The former child TV stars were selected as the country's top womenswear designers for their collection The Row. Jessica Chastain announced the 25-year-old twins as winners at the Lincoln Center in New York.

Marilyn Monroe Dress, Wizard of Oz Hat Sells at Auction

Iconic Marilyn Monroe dressA dress worn by in Gentlemen Prefer Blondes has sold for $314,000 at an auction.

The pink satin gown - which was worn by Marilyn as she performed classic number “Diamonds Are a Girl’s Best Friend” had only been expected to reach $250,000 in the sale, which saw 1,500 items go under the hammer. Also up for auction was the hat worn by the Wicked Witch of the West in The Wizard of Oz, which took $200,000 - having only been estimated at $145,000.
The bottomless bag used by Julie Andrews in ‘s Mary Poppins took $95,000, despite an estimated price of just $11,000.
Other items at the Profiles in History Auction - which took place in Los Angeles from June 10 to 12 - included the scissor hands worn by in Edward Scissorhands and the face of the alien Balok in Star Trek: The Original Series, which reached $70,000.
Last year a bra belonging to Marilyn was sold at auction for $5,000.
