Taylor Swift Won’t Ever Pose Naked

Posted by Andru Edwards Categories: Celebrities,

Taylor Swift on the cover of 'Glamour'Taylor Swift will never pose naked for a photo shoot.

The "22" singer has no intention of stripping off for a magazine or in her videos like many of her pop rivals, such as Miley Cyrus and Rihanna, because she doesn't think it's necessary for her to "push the envelope" by revealing her body.

"I find it relatively easy to keep my clothes on because I don't really feel like taking them off. It's not an urge I have. For me 'risky' is revealing what really happened in my life through music. Risky is writing confessional songs and telling the true story about a person with enough details so everyone knows who that person is. That's putting myself out there, maybe even more than taking my shirt off," she told Glamour.

The 23-year-old musician also revealed she likes to have the upper hand when it comes to dating and will often "freeze-out" guys from her life who she believes are playing with her emotions: "[What's freeze-out?] You don't respond to any of his texts or calls until he does something desperate [like] shows up. Or he calls and leaves a voicemail. Something that makes it very clear to you that he's interested."

Taylor Swift Is 2012’s Worst-Selling Celebrity Cover Model

Posted by Robin Paulson Categories: Celebrities, News, Sales,

Taylor SwiftShe may sell millions of copies of her albums and make quite a profit in merchandising, but Taylor Swift unfortunately can't get enough people to buy the magazines she's on.

In the Vogue department, Swift's cover sold 329,371 copies - a little more than the fashion glossy's six-month average - which does not impress much in comparison to Adele's March cover with 410,343 copies.

Her November Glamour issue sold 443,000 copies, but she couldn't beat out the less-famous former Hills star Lauren Conrad, whose cover sold over 500,000. The magazine's editor-in-chief Cindi Leive tried to reason why the huge star's magazine didn't sell so well: "here may have been a little hiccup for her right around the [One Direction] relationship. But it’s nothing a pro can’t come back from. I’d put money on her for the long run."

Swift's cover for Cosmopolitan turned out to be the magazine's worst seller of the year, selling 20% below its six-month average.

Carrie Underwood Spent $2K on a Sweatshirt

Posted by Andru Edwards Categories: Celebrities,

Carrie Underwood on GlamourCarrie Underwood accidentally bought a $2,000 sweatshirt which she has only worn twice. The 29-year-old singer admits she did not understand European pricing when she first became famous and mistakenly purchased the expensive garment.

"My first stupid purchase was an accident. I was in Paris and went into one of those big, name-brand, fancy-schmancy designers, and I picked up a sweatshirt. Maybe I didn't understand the price tag. I'm really bad with numbers. But when I went to check out, that sucker was $2,000. It's not cashmere but thicker than cotton. I've worn it twice."

The country singer comes from a working class background, and she admits it has had an impact on how she has grown up because she rarely make pricey purchases: "Country music is for real people. I think it would be very hard to write about my Louboutins. Do you know what I mean? My giant house, it's not relatable. But my husband came from a small town and hardworking parents like I did, and I don't think we've lost that mind-set. We don't have a bowling alley in our basement. We don't have houses on the beach and one in New York and one in Los Angeles. I drive a three-year-old Ford Escape Hybrid. We don't care about stuff like that."

Kristen StewartKristen Stewart has been voted the world's best dressed woman.

The Twilight actress topped a poll by Britain's Glamour magazine and was praised by the publication for her progression from "awkward teen to style queen" and for always being "effortlessly on-trend."

Kristen beat last year's winner Emma Watson, with the Harry Potter star managing a respectable second place while Victoria Beckham came third. The singer-turned-fashion designer shot up 12 places from last year with the magazine praising the "adorable co-ordinating looks" she shares with "her new favorite accessory" - nine-month-old daughter Harper.

Britain's Duchess Catherine was honored for her classic and stylish fashion sense with fourth place. "The Duchess of Cambridge's classic elegance has set the high street alight, causing both Zara and Reiss to sell out of her favorite pieces," the magazine said.

Items Du Jour: Kim Kardashian on Glamour, Lady Gaga Tops Magazine Sales

Kim Kardashian on Glamour-- Lady Gaga scored the highest number of monthly and bi-weekly magazines sold. Not surprisingly, the Rolling Stones cover with a nice view of her rear end sold 245,000 copies -- three times the magazine's 2010 average. Taylor Swift and Blake Lively were the worst-selling celebrities.

-- Elle magazine's parent company Lagardere is in talks with Hearst (Harper's Bazaar publisher) to sell all 40-plus foreign editions of the fashion glossy (sans the original French version) as soon as the end of the month. Lagardere claims it will keep full editorial control, despite whatever happens in the sale.

-- Kim Kardashian covers Glamour in pajamas, which she makes look incredibly sexy, despite what she says in her interview: "I don’t find myself as sexy as everyone thinks. I’m a lot more insecure than people would assume, but with little stupid things." This must explain why she constantly poses nude or in skin-tight outfits.

-- Androgynous model Andrej Pejic stars in the latest Marc by Marc Jacobs campaign, alongside Ginta Lapina. One can actually detect that he's most likely a guy in the photo.
