Blake Lively has become the new face of Gucci.
The Gossip Girl actress will represent the Italian fashion house's Gucci Première, a new scent created to represent the brand's red-carpet-inspired line of the same name. This is Blake's first ever fragrance campaign and she says it's a huge honor.
"Gucci is a staple. It is a brand I have always looked up to because to me it represents strength. In their designs, in their images, in what they stand for philanthropically, and especially in their fragrance... I couldn't be more proud to be working with Gucci and its heart, Frida."
Gucci creative director Frida Giannini says she chose 24-year-old Blake "because she is a girl of extraordinary beauty and a girl who loves fashion."
"Although she's young, she's also very determined, and I liked this spirit... she knows how to be a diva in the right sense, with an aspirational glamour," she added.

Robert Pattinson gets his fashion advice from Gucci's creative director.
The Twilight Saga heartthrob likes the Italian fashion house to dress him for his public appearances and relies upon emergency last-minute fashion advice from the brand's creative director, Frida Giannini.
"She taught me one thing - you should definitely have good contacts at Gucci. They're absolutely amazing. The amount of times I've been stuck in some random city and have called her up and had things brought in at absolutely the last minute - it's crazy. You can do quite crazy things [with color] if you have incredibly classic, really well-made suits. I guess I've been quite boring for a while. I used to be more interesting with them. Now I always just request things two days before: 'Can you send 25 suits?' I don't even know what I want to wear!" Robert told the British edition of GQ.

True Blood star Evan Rachel Wood has become the face of Gucci’s new perfume.
The 21-year-old actress will front the campaign for the Italian fashion house’s latest female fragrance and Gucci creative director Frida Giannini thinks she is the ideal choice.
“I chose Evan Rachel Wood as she has very strong character. She’s young, but rising and influential figure. I didn’t want to offer this project to someone overexposed or too well known. Instead, I wanted a fresh individual that would coincide with the image of the project.”
Frida says she was inspired to sign Evan after seeing her on the big screen as her confidence oozes through: “Evan Rachel Wood is such a talented and beautiful actress. I have always admired her confidence and her ability to transform herself in front of the camera. Even though she can appear shy at times, when the camera starts rolling, she becomes animated and vivacious. She is incredible, very sexy, and her eyes and face really attract the people of her generation.”
Exact details about Evan’s debut for the brand have yet to be revealed.

Move over, Gap Kids—Gucci is set to launch a children’s wear line.
The Italian fashion house’s creative director, Frida Giannini, wants to branch out into kids clothes with a range available starting in June. The first line will be unveiled in Italy and then hit around 40 stores worldwide. Frida is currently in Singapore - where she announced her future plans - and was honored to have an orchid named after her, the Paravanda Frida.
“It was very touching and I loved the thought that the orchid will still be there a few hundred years from now. I have never experienced such an honor before.”
The orchid, a white flower with fuchsia tips, was also the inspiration for 88 limited edition Boston bags which Frida exclusively designed for Singapore to benefit children’s charity Mainly I Love Kids (MILK). The white-and-pink Paravanda Frida bags sold out within a month of their launch in February, which left Frida stunned. Speaking at the opening of the revamped Gucci flagship at the Paragon mall on Orchard Road, Frida told WWD, “I always feel surprised in a very positive way at how customers really relate to the brand.”
