David Beckham Cringes About Matching Leather Outfits

David Beckham still cringes about the time he and wife Victoria wore matching leather outfits.

The couple - who have been married 13 years - donned his and hers black Versace biker suits for one of the fashion house's parties in 1999.

Looking back on some of his style choices, David, 36, admits it was a low point: "Me and Victoria wore matching black leather outfits once. They were Versace. But that's one when I look back and am like, 'What were we thinking?' We laugh about that one. I remember that it's really good until you do it as a couple."

The father-of-four has never been shy of making a statement, having even once worn a sarong for a night out. "I look back on some stuff and think I can't believe I actually wore that. I have no regrets, though - I knew at the time it was good."

But he insists his choices have nothing to do with his 37-year-old fashion designer wife. "I was [once] a pageboy and had a choice between wearing some boring old suit or a pair of knickerbockers with ballerina tights and slippers. So I went with the tights. It's not that I always wanted to be different, but I knew what I liked."

Ashton Kutcher and his wife Demi Moore have started a strict detox plan.

The 47-year-old actress and her 32-year-old spouse embarked on the Master Cleanse diet on Saturday, but Ashton has admitted he’s already finding it hard.

“9 hrs into the master cleanse. I want a steak, a beer, and a blow-pop. Hmmm this is gonna be rough (sic),” he wrote on his Twitter.

The plan, which is also known as the Maple Syrup diet, involves consuming nothing but a concoction of water, lemon, maple syrup and cayenne pepper and was famously used by Beyonce to slim down for her role in Dreamgirls.
While Ashton is struggling, Demi is faring slightly better: “2nd day of master cleanse and off to hike with hubby and the dogs. 2nd day better than the 1st! (sic).”

Russell Brand Influences Katy Perry’s Style, Dislikes Shopping

Russell Brand and fiancee Katy Perry are starting to influence each other’s dress sense. The British comedian and the “California Gurls” singer have been together since last September and Russell admits they are now adapting their styles to suit the other’s tastes.

“I would like to endorse that idea. I think I’ve started to wear more colors and she’s started to go darker.  She’s started to dress less like a pantomime character and is a bit more sexy - a bit grown up.”

Although Russell - famed for his eccentric dress sense - is a fan of designers like John Galliano and the late Alexander McQueen, he admits he doesn’t find shopping very fulfilling.

“My look is a collision between bondage, 70s rock ‘n’ roll and a gentleman at the Henley Regatta. I don’t go shopping much because I find it hard to commit to an object. Will I ever wear these? Then I question the value of consuming, trying to make yourself feel better just by buying a pair of shoes. I think, ‘Will I feel better after I’ve bought these shoes? Or will I just be me…in some shoes.’”

Marc Jacobs Plans to Wed in 2010

Although Marc Jacobs and Lorenzo Martone originally planned to tie the knot in a very small ceremony at the end of late August, news and pictures never surfaced—in other words, it didn’t happen. It also could have been due to the fact that Jacobs and Martone never confirmed the wedding (we all know that celebrities mean quite the opposite when it comes to affairs such as this).

Rest assured—the famed designer opened up about the upcoming event (vaguely at best, but I’ll take it): “We still haven’t fixed the date but Lorenzo and I believe in commitment. We’re quite classic like that. We’ve got the license, hence the rumors that we’d already got married. So hopefully it will happen in 2010. When it does, it will be very low-key.”

From the way Jacobs spoke of business at Louis Vuitton, I would hope that the pair change their mind and make their big day an extravagant one—they seem to be the only company weathering this financial storm.

“In terms of what’s selling at Louis Vuitton, the recession hasn’t changed anything… our sales are up and I haven’t noticed that people’s tastes have got more subdued. There’s this huge cult following of almost crazy people at Vuitton who just want whatever they buy to be exclusive.”

I can’t wait to see their adorable wedding pictures (or what they’d wear for that matter)!
