Gemma Ward: I Have Said Nothing Will Be Permanent

Gemma WardNever say, “Never” when it comes to the modeling world—even if your agent says so! Case in point: Gemma Ward.

Following an emergence of recent pictures of the model displaying a more average, fuller figure, Ward’s agent claimed that she was not expected to return to modeling “any time soon.”

Ward dispelled such talk via her seldom-used Twitter page: “Thankyou everyone for your support, all i’ll say on the subject is im content with my decision but i have said nothing will be permanent.(sic)”

The dabbling actress went so far as to e-mail an Australian newspaper to further confirm her upcoming return, yet hints that it’ll be sooner than later: “I have not ‘quit modeling’ and my fans back home can expect to see me back at work modeling and acting in the new year.”

So what’s she doing until then?

According to Ward’s mother, the doll-faced model is brushing up on Shakespeare classes and seeks to attend Yale!

“She’s 22 years old and has worked incredibly hard. She’s had a very difficult few years personally and now she’s having a really lovely time doing things she wants to do and enjoying being young.”

Taking time off to study at an Ivy League? Practically unheard of in the business, but quite refreshing to hear. Either way, I’m absolutely thrilled to hear the good news and cannot wait for her return to the catwalk!
