DC’s got one: Batman: Arkham City #1 by Paul Dini & Derek Fridolfs and Dustin Nguyen.

The first chapter in this multi-chapter storyline pits Batman against Hugo Strange who's pitching Arkham City as "Gotham's ultimate solution to crime."

According to editor Jim Chadwick, this is DC's first "original, direct-to-digital series." Both this and the Batman: Arkham City  print comic tie in with the two Batman video games, "bridging the stories between Arkham Asylum and its sequel Arkham City."

But the stories don't link, however. The print comic is one, continuous story, and the digital chapters are 7 standalone stories, "mostly focusing on some of the bad guys," Chadwick said. Each chapter is 8 pages long.

As for who does what, Paul Dini writes all the print comics with Carlos D'Anda on art. Derek Fridolfs scripts the digitals over Dini's plots with alternating artists on each chapter.
