Sylvester Stallone: Twitter Gets Me in Trouble
Posted by Andru Edwards Categories: Movies, Rants, Features,
Sylvester Stallone avoids social media because it gets him into "trouble."
The legendary actor found himself in hot water last year for criticizing fellow Hollywood star Bruce Willis on Twitter - after Bruce dropped out of his movie The Expendables 3 over a pay dispute - and he now chooses to be very "careful" about using social networking websites.
"Every time I use social media I get really in trouble! I think George Clooney said it best when he said you've got to be an idiot to be celebrity and use Twitter. You wake up in the morning when you're sober and your career is over! You've got to be really, really careful. You think you're a genius up there in the middle of the night and you wake up an idiot," he explained.
The 67-year-old star admits he isn't technologically savvy and doesn't quite understand the purpose of photo sharing mobile app, Instagram. "Everyone keeps wanting me to get on Instagram. Is that for younger people, Instagram? For, like, pervs? 'Here we are at the hospital getting our back checked' or 'I'm on dialysis... here we are!' I'm really basic with the iPhone. I think I've figured out how the camera works and that's about it. I keep it very simple," he quipped.

Sylvester Stallone says it's been "very, very tough" losing his son Sage.
The Expendables 2 actor admits it's been a "horrible" time since the 36-year-old actor - his son from his first marriage to Sasha Czack - was found unresponsive on July 13 at his Studio City apartment in Los Angeles, but the Hollywood star is trying to get back to normality in the best possible way by returning to work.
Speaking on Good Morning America, Sylvester - who has three daughters, Sophia, 15, Sistine, 14, and 10-year-old Scarlet, with his wife Jennifer Flavin - said, "It's tough. It's very, very tough. It's a horrible situation but, time, hopefully will heal and you try to get through it. It's something that's a reality in life. It's important to get back and try to start re-living your life. Otherwise you can go into a spiral."
To help him get over his grief, Sylvester has been promoting his latest movie The Expendables 2 - which stars Arnold Schwarzenegger and Jean-Claude Van Damme - but he also suffered heartbreak while shooting the action blockbuster when stuntman Liu Kun died from wounds he suffered during an on-set explosion in Bulgaria.

Sage Stallone's funeral will take place on Saturday.
The body of the 36-year-old actor - who was found dead on July 13 - will reportedly be laid to rest in a private service at the weekend.
"Sage will be buried on Saturday. His body was picked up from the coroner by a mortuary that is based in Westwood earlier this week. The funeral will be private and it will be family and friends only and will be celebration of his life," a source said.
Meanwhile, it has been claimed that authorities investigating Sage's death believe he was a drug dealer who sold Hydrocodone - more commonly known as Vicodin - but don't think he was an addict himself as his build was not typical of habitual drug users. "He was pudgy, and drug addicts are almost always rail thin," a source told TMZ.
