Wentworth Miller “Feeding a Fantasy” Before Coming Out

Posted by Andru Edwards Categories: Movies, Television, Features,

Wentworth MillerWentworth Miller felt he was "feeding a fantasy" before announcing that he is gay.

The former Prison Break star, who opened up about his sexuality for the first time last August, says he has a better relationship with his fans now.

"I feel more fully expressed. After Prison Break, I came to grips with the fact that my public persona was in misalignment with how I actually felt. I was out to a handful of people in my twenties, and once I hit 30, I was out to family and friends. But professionally, I was feeding a fantasy. I created this air of 'We don't address that thing,'" the 42-year-old actor told Details magazine.

Asked if he felt like he was lying about his sexuality in the past, he said, "My face was on billboards, and I thought it was my job to act a certain way. But I think audiences knew to a certain degree. The people onscreen aren't the characters they're playing. They're our projection of who we want them to be. I think it's possible to have a man-crush if you're not gay or to have a crush on a guy you know to be gay if you're a woman."

Posted by Robin Paulson Categories: Music, Television, Features,

Charice PempengcoGlee star Charice Pempengco recently spoke frankly in an interview Sunday night about her sexuality, revealing that she is a lesbian.

The 21 year-old Filipino native appeared on a talk show in her native country, The Buzz, where she answered in the affirmative when host Boy Abunda asked her if she is gay. Charice went on to explain why she chose to come out on the popular Filipino show:

"I have deep gratitude for the Filipinos because they are the ones who know who I really am. I don't know what the problem is because for me, there is no problem with that. So now I ask for forgiveness from those who don't understand. And those who cannot accept. I apologize, I understand you. To those who could accept, and who could accept me, thank you very, very much. I just want to say to all of you that I feel very light -- that I can leave the house knowing I am not hiding anything. ... I love myself, that's why I'm able to do this."

The singer-actress rose to fame when Ellen DeGeneres discovered her on YouTube. She went on to portray Sunshine Corazon in the second season of Glee.

Rashida Jones John Travolta

Actress Rashida Jones has publicly urged John Travolta to come out of the closet following persistent rumors he is gay.

Rashida was publicizing her movie Celeste and Jesse Forever when the conversation turned to her obsession with Frank Ocean who came out as homosexual, earlier this year. Her writing partner and former boyfriend Will McCormack said, "There needs to be, like, a professional athlete that comes out." Rashida, 36, added, "And a movie star! It's time...Like John Travolta? Come out! Come on. How many masseurs have to come forward? Let's do this."

James Franco Addresses Gay Rumors

Posted by Robin Paulson Categories: Movies, Rumors,

With his various gay roles, Candy magazine cover, and overwhelming sex appeal, it's quite easy to doubt the man's sexuality. When EW sat down with the 127 Hours and popped the question, Franco answered in the most interesting, charming way only James Franco could.

"It’s funny because the way that kind of stuff is talked about on blogs is so black-and-white. It’s all cut-and-dry identity politics. ‘Is he straight or is he gay?’ Or, ‘This is your third gay movie -- come out already!’ And all based on, gay or straight, based on the idea that your object of affection decides your sexuality.”

Franco then continues to explain why he chooses his characters; specifically, why he finds portraying gay men interesting.

James Franco Covers Candy Magazine in Drag

James Franco

I don’t think that James Franco was joking on Saturday Night Live when he claimed to pick his career moves based on randomly selected “idea slips.” As it were, he chose to cover Candy Magazine in drag.

Shot by fashion photographer Terry Richardson, Franco looks virtually unrecognizable in his painted lips and blue eyeshadow.

One has to wonder whether he’s truly that comfortable with his sexuality or if he’s revealing a little something about himself… (for the sake of women everywhere, I’m banking on the former).

Lady Gaga Fears Contracting Lupus, Campaigns For Sexual Education

Posted by Andru Edwards Categories: Music, Television,

Lady Gaga in concert“Telephone” pop star is taking special care of herself to stop her getting lupus.

Gaga is not currently unwell with the disease, which can cause severe skin damage as well as harming many of the body’s organs, but is forced to pay special attention to her health to prevent her from falling ill.

“Lupus is in my family, it’s genetic. It’s funny because my mother told me the other day that my fans are worried because I did talk about the fact that I was tested for lupus. The truth is I don’t have any signs or symptoms of lupus but I have tested borderline positive for the disease. As of right now, I do not have it, but I have to take good care of myself.”

The 24-year-old singer recently underwent a series of medical tests after her aunt died from the disease. While she is trying hard to look after her health, the pop star is also busy campaigning to stop young homosexual people in America being judged by their sexuality.

The Glee, Newsweek Summit is On

Glee Single Ladies Football Players Dance

The is well on its way to being resolved peacefully - and without any media back-and-forth bickering. Recently, writer Ramin Setoodeh wrote a controversial article regarding homosexual actors and actresses. In it, he named new Glee cast member Jonathan Groff and made quite a few remarks about the actor’s inability to play a straight love interest to actress Lea Michele.

co-creator Ryan Murphy fired back after the article was published, demanding a boycott of the entire magazine. In a (considerably lengthy) statement to Setoodeh, and by extension the world, Murphy extended “an open invitation to Mr. Setoodeh to come to the writers room of our show, and perhaps pay a set visit. Hopefully then he can see how we take care to do a show about inclusiveness…a show that encourages all viewers no matter what their sexual orientation to go after their hopes and dreams…”

In response, Ramin Setoodeh has accepted the offer. This oughtta be good.

Lady Gaga Mad For Men

Posted by Andru Edwards Categories: Music, Dating, Hook-ups, Rumors,

Lady Gaga is hot for guysPop star and extreme dresser Lady Gaga prefers sex with men - because they have something she really “appreciates.”

The “Bad Romance” singer is openly bisexual and says she is able to be open in the bedroom because she can make a distinction between love and sex.

She is quoted by website Jetzt.de as saying, “In love there are no rules or boundaries. But I separate love and sex. I just love the male sexuality. Men have something that I miss but that I really appreciate.”

Lady Gaga - who is renowned for flesh-flashing outfits - has always been adventurous when it comes to sex and showing off her body. The singer - real name Stefani Germanotta - left her father Joseph Germanotta shocked when he came to see her dance in a gay bar.

“I was a burlesque go-go girl in a gay bar in the Lower East Side of New York. One evening my father came into the bar because he wanted to see as what I worked there. When he saw me dancing in a leather thong he turned around and went home.”

Cynthia Nixon Talks About Her Lesbian Relationship

Posted by Veronica Santiago Categories: Movies, Television, Hook-ups,

Cynthia Nixon, partnerAlthough I’m sure most people don’t really care about ‘s sexual orientation, I’m sure most of us were at least a little shocked when the news first broke out.

I distinctly remember feeling like I had seen this story somewhere before—like on the series.  Remember when Samantha shocked everyone by randomly appearing with a new woman (Sonia Braga)?  I mean it wasn’t like Nixon hadn’t been linked to a man before.

Prior to meeting education activist Christine Marinoni, the actress had been involved in a long relationship (15 years!!) with Danny Mozes.  Nixon was also a mother of two children when her new romance started back in 2003.
