Russell Crowe, George Clooney, and Leonardo DiCaprio

George Clooney hasn't forgiven Russell Crowe for calling him a "sell out." The Gravity star fell out with the Gladiator actor in 2005, after he slated him in an interview with GQ magazine. The silver-haired actor was slammed by Russell, 49, for modeling suits in an advertising campaign, and then shortly afterwards George was sent a poetry book by way of apology - something he didn't accept.

"The truth is that [Russell Crowe] did send me a book of poems to apologize for insulting the s**t out of me, which he did. And that's when he really went off on me. 'Who the f*** does this guy think he is? He's a Frank Sinatra wannabe.' He really went after me," the 52-year-old actor told the new issue of Esquire.

Russell Crowe with his wife Danielle Spencer and kidsRussell Crowe is determined to bring his family "back together."

The 48-year-old actor split from wife Danielle Spencer - with whom he has two children, Charles, eight, and six-year-old Tennyson - in October but says once he's finished promoting Les Miserables and shooting new film Winter's Tale, he will concentrate on sorting his personal life out.

"As soon as I finish this job and can get home, my priority is to try to bring my family back together," he wrote on Twitter.

Russell also hit out at rumors he is casually dating Billy Joel's ex-wife, Katie Lee, tweeting, "These latest reports are false & cruel." Russell's tweet came after estranged wife Danielle took to her Facebook page to thanks fans for their support in the wake of the couple's break-up. The blonde beauty - who recently finished second in the Australian version of Dancing with the Stars - wrote, "Hi Everyone! I'm sorry i haven't visited here for a while, things have been keeping me somewhat busy of late. Russell Crowe and Danielle CroweRussell Crowe is devastated after splitting from his wife Danielle Spencer.

The Oscar-winning star and his musician wife - who have been married for nine years and have two sons Charles, eight, and Tennyson, six, together - are reported to have amicably separated, according to the Sydney Morning Herald.

The couple has so far refused to comment but friends close to the couple are said to be shocked and the actor is said to be devastated. Sources are blaming the Les Miserables star's busy schedule for their break-up as back-to-back filming has forced him to spend most of his time overseas while his family remained at their home in Sydney.

The 48-year-old Gladiator star is currently filming his fifth movie this year, the biblical epic Noah in New York, and recently completed filming on the Superman reboot Man of Steel. He will next be seen on the big screen in The Man With The Iron Fists starring alongside Lucy Liu, which hits theaters in December, followed later that month by Les Miserables.

Russell Crowe Rescued by Coastguard

Russell CroweRussell Crowe had to be picked up by coastguards after getting lost kayaking.

The 48-year-old actor and a friend were stranded on Saturday when they lost their way in the waters off New York's Long Island and had to be ferried to a harbor by a rescue boat. US Coast Guard Petty Officer Robert Swieciki said the pair got lost as the sky darkened and beached their kayaks in Huntington Bay, almost 10 miles east from where they had set out.

The US Coast Guard was patrolling the area, and heard the Noah star call out to them from the shore around 10pm and paddled over to the boat. "He just needed a little bit of help, he just got a little lost. It wasn't really a rescue, really, more of just giving someone a lift," the coast guard said.

Russell - who was described as "grateful and friendly" - later thanked his rescuers on Twitter: "Thanks to Seth and the boys from the US Coast Guard for guiding the way ... 4 hrs 30 mins, 7m. (sic)"

Russell Crowe Infatuated With Bows and Arrows

Posted by Andru Edwards Categories: Movies,

Russell Crowe as Robin HoodGladiator Russell Crowe is “in love” with archery.

The actor learned how to use a bow and arrow ahead of taking on the title role in Robin Hood and believes his training made the movie better.

“It’s a bit like learning golf, which I did for The Insider. And man, I loved it. It’s great. I said to the guy who was teaching me, ‘I’m in love with the flight. I just love it when the arrow is released from the bow…’ and he was like, ‘Well, it’s your sport then.’ We’ve done so much more than we expected to do in the film in terms of being able to get actual shots in there where we can shoot an arrow and a target. But you can only do that sort of stuff if you really take the time to learn the sport. It’s cool man, very cool.”

Russell also singled out a battle scene set in Pembrokeshire, Wales, as his favorite to film: “It was incredible. We had 130 horses going at full gallop on that beautiful beach and 500-odd extras on foot. The adrenaline rush was extraordinary.”

Nia Vardalos in My Life in Ruins

“Socially, the issue of men’s weight is simply not a big deal. Let’s face it: is fat and no one ever talks about it. Alec Baldwin just orders his suits a size bigger and we continue to swoon.”
