Keira Knightley: I Had No Life
Posted by Andru Edwards Categories: Movies, Paparazzi Photos, Features,
Keira Knightley used to have "no life" apart from acting. The Anna Karenina star - who shot to fame in 2002 comedy drama Bend it Like Beckham - used to avoid going out so that she wouldn't have to be photographed by paparazzi, and the intrusion once got so bad at the Glastonbury music festival she hid in a trailer and refused to leave.
"I literally had no life outside of acting, and I just wanted to go off and not be 'on' all the time, not be photographed. I once went to Glastonbury and was completely surrounded by packs of paparazzi the entire time, so I ended up sitting in a trailer, unable to go out."
While Keira - who made her big screen debut in thriller movie Innocent Lies aged 10 - used to hide away off-screen in the early stages of her career, the 27-year-old beauty loves to portray powerful women who have some "bite" in her films.

Morgan Freeman: Joker Role Didn’t Kill Heath
Posted by Andru Edwards Categories: Movies, Drugs, Obituaries, Rumors,
Morgan Freeman insists Heath Ledger's death had nothing to with him playing The Joker in The Dark Knight.
The 28-year-old actor died in January 2008 from an accidental drug overdose and while some people believe he was struggling to cope with the intensity of playing the maniacal character, co-star Morgan isn't convinced the role played any part in his untimely passing.
"Well, it's a downer when anything happens to an actor in mid-production. In fact, he didn't die during production, his part was wrapped up, but the movie itself wasn't out yet. People connected the character to his death because the character was so ... evil. People imagine that the role leaks into the man or something. And I don't think that was the case at all," Morgan said, speaking of Heath's tragic death.
Morgan - who has reprised his role as Lucius in new Batman film The Dark Knight Rises - also revealed he has no intention of retiring from acting even though he's 75: "What keeps anyone going? I have work. I have things to do. I prefer working to idleness. And I like my job. I'm lucky, I'm not working because I have to; I'm working because I love to."
Scarlett Johansson is Too Sexy For Some Roles
Posted by Andru Edwards Categories: Movies, Features,
Scarlett Johansson claims her good looks and sex appeal have cost her film roles.
The 27-year-old actress is considered to be one of the world's most beautiful women, and although she is flattered to be considered a sex symbol she claims her gorgeous face and figure have resulted in her losing out artistically.
"That has happened to me before, yeah. That's always an unfortunate thing to figure out, 'Why can't you see?!' For me, I would imagine when casting someone, you would want to challenge yourself in some way. It is so interesting to see actors transform. There are certainly plenty of times when I am definitely not sexy," she said when discussing if she has lost out on roles because she is sexy.
The We Bought A Zoo star - who was previously married to Ryan Reynolds - does work hard to maintain her enviable figure and avoids meat and dairy products to stay slender. However, Scarlett isn't as strict as some Hollywood actresses with her diet and is happy to indulge in a few glasses of wine now and again:

James Franco Praises Kristen Stewart
Posted by Andru Edwards Categories: Movies, Child Stars,

James Franco has praised Kristen Stewart's acting skills. The actor spoke about the actress, 22, in an article for the Huffington Post in which he analysed her latest movie Snow White And The Huntsman.
"Some might argue that Stewart - or any young upstart buoyed by the surge of a successful franchise, album, or Internet meme - is just as unjustly charmed. Some could say she had a lucky break when she was cast in Twilight and then rose to international stardom based less on her own skills than on the success of the project. But, whereas Snow White would more than likely be inarticulate, diseased and frail after being confined in a tower for 10 years, Kristen Stewart landed Twilight after years of working with some of the best directors in the business (David Fincher, Sean Penn). She actually does deserve the crown."

Nicole Kidman Sent Sexy Texts to Land ‘Paperboy’ Role
Posted by Andru Edwards Categories: Movies, Photos,
Nicole Kidman sent "provocative" text messages to Lee Daniels to land her role in Paperboy.
The director was reluctant to cast such a big-name actress in the low-budget movie - which sees Zac Efron and Matthew McConaughey play two brothers investigating the case of a death row inmate played by John Cusack - so Nicole went to extreme lengths to get him to agree to cast her as a sex-crazed woman obsessed with marrying a convicted killer.
"Lee said, 'Look, we've got no money, you're going to have to do your own hair and make-up. So I actually went into my bathroom and I got out the fake tan and put on fake eyelashes and got a hairpiece thing that was platinum, threw it all on and texted a photo to Lee in all these different provocative positions. That's how it came together. What he sent back I can't say, but it was a thumbs up."

Adam Brody Isn’t a Ladies’ Man
Posted by Andru Edwards Categories: Movies, Dating, Hook-ups,
Adam Brody is not a smooth womanizer. The former O.C. star plays ladies' man Charlie Walker in new college movie Damsels in Distress, but insists he is nothing like his alter-ego as he would never be able to pull his cool moves off in real life.
"I haven't ever bought drinks for a stranger and sent them across the bar by way of introduction," he said.
However, Adam, 32, says his character is not as confident as he appears and actually has a lot of insecurities. "I think to a certain degree Charlie is intellectual and he is certainly striving to better himself. But at the same time, he's a bit insecure about his actual standing in life and where he's going. He's probably insecure about a lot of things and I can certainly relate to that. I can't really say if I'm intellectual or the opposite," he said in an interview with The Independent.
Zac Efron Surprised by Muscular Physique
Posted by Andru Edwards Categories: Movies,
Zac Efron didn't recognize himself after putting on 18lbs of muscle for his new movie.
The 24-year-old actor bulked up to play a war veteran in The Lucky One and admitted he was impressed with his own willpower. "By the end of the movie I didn't recognize myself. You hear about guys like Christian Bale who dive into it and are really able to transform. I've always wondered if I had the willpower to actually do it. And I'll always have pride around the sense that I can," he told Men's Health .
Although the High School Musical actor claims he doesn't have any special talents, he thinks his willingness to work hard plays has played a huge part in his successful career: "I could pick up almost anything. If you put it in front of me, I could always find a way to tackle it. [While training for The Lucky One] I'd get this strange sense of power as those weights increased. I was never a natural at anything, but I could always outwork everybody."
Adam Brody: ‘I Broke up Jennifer and Brad’
Posted by Andru Edwards Categories: Movies, Divorce, Hook-ups,
Adam Brody has joked he split up Jennifer Aniston and Brad Pitt.
The former O.C. star worked alongside Brad on 2005 action movie Mr & Mrs Smith - where he met Angelina Jolie and subsequently left wife Jennifer - and he believes he may have played a hand in the changes in the actor's personal life.
"In terms of [Brad and Angelina], I hooked them up. I was like, 'Brad, you don't want to do this, man, this Jen thing - I don't see it.' He heeded my advice and I'm happy for him," he joked.
Discussing his own career, Adam - who is currently starring in Damsels in Distress, and has previously had parts in Jennifer's Body and The Ring - admits he picks movie roles according to his own personal tastes: "It's funny. I have been practical, but when I do look at my resume it does reflect my taste. Some I like more than others, but it does, by and large, reflect my taste, more than I think it would. [Especially] given how many things I've been willing to do that I don't personally care for."
